AI girlfriend deals that are actually worth it

Where the real savings sit on AI girlfriend apps in 2026: yearly and quarterly plans, the monthly price they replace, and the refund rule behind each one.

In a hurry? Pick one of these first

Here is my honest take on deals in this category: the best one is almost never a coupon. It is the longer plan. Candy AI's 12-Month Plan is €47.88 upfront, which works out to €3.99 a month against €13.99 on the 1-Month Plan. OurDream AI's Standard Annual is $119.88, or $9.99 a month instead of $19.99.

That is a big gap, and I like it. But a yearly plan only pays off if the app still has you hooked by month four. So start on the free tier, then decide. The cards below take you to each full review.

Each app's prices appear in the currency it bills in, with no conversion. Price sorting only compares apps that share a currency.

Every card above leads to a full review, and I would read one before you pay for any yearly plan. Why so careful? Because the refund rules are not kind. Nomi AI says all payments are nonrefundable, and Candy AI gives non-EU/UK users 24 hours after payment to ask for a refund. That is a short window for a €47.88 commitment.

My rule for friends is simple: free first, monthly second, yearly only once you know. If adult chat is what you are pricing, my NSFW AI chat ranking sorts those apps by what they allow.

Those are the offers I would look at first, but the ranking is not a price list. A cheap plan on the wrong app is still money gone. If you are unsure what you actually want, the short quiz below is worth a minute: memory, images, voice, spicy chat or a free start all point you to different apps.

One thing I want to flag before you pick. Some apps sell a plan and then tokens on top. Candy AI's 1-Month Plan comes with 100 tokens a month, and OurDream AI's Standard plans include 1,000 dreamcoins a month. Budget for that, not just the headline price.

Still not sure? That is fine, and honestly a good sign. The offers sit next to each other in the table below, and you can sort them by whatever matters most to you.

I would look at three columns before the price: whether there is a free tier, how adult content is handled, and whether the cheapest plan really unlocks what you want.

A small example of why this matters: on Candy AI, adult content is paid only, while Nomi AI allows it and keeps a free plan that gives 50 messages daily. Same budget, very different first week. Pick the app first, then the plan.

Each app's prices appear in the currency it bills in, with no conversion. Price sorting only compares apps that share a currency.

The table is the fast view. Here is how I read it. The per-month price on a yearly plan is the real deal, but it is billed in one go. Nomi AI's Standard Plan Yearly is $99.99 upfront, which is $8.33 a month against $15.99 monthly. Secrets AI's Premium yearly is $109.99, or $9.17 a month against $19.99.

Both are fair savings in my book. Neither is refundable if you change your mind, so the free tier is your trial. The numbers below sum up where the market sits right now.

How much a deal really saves

  1. 48%

is the median you save by paying annually rather than monthly, over 43 apps offering both.

Data from: our own app data
  2. $7.99/mo

is the typical (median) cost of the lowest paid plan, with annual billing shown per month.

Data from: our own app data
  3. 10

apps offer a confirmed discount at the moment. Deals get removed once they pass 30 days.

Data from: our own app data
  4. 100%

of tracked apps let you begin for free.

Data from: our own app data

Worked out from our 78-app database at build time; each figure moves whenever a price changes.

What those numbers tell me: the yearly discount is where the money is, and it is often deep. Character AI's own pricing page shows $119.88 crossed out for $94.99 a year on c.ai+, with "save 21%". SpicyChat says its yearly plans are about 17% off the monthly rate. GirlfriendGPT lists a 20% annual saving on Premium.

Those are honest, published discounts, and I like that you can see them without a code. If you want to hear when a price moves, the signup box below is the easy way. I would rather you get the note than chase a promo page.

Before the long guidance below, one practical point that matters to a lot of readers: the bank statement. Billing names differ a lot. Candy AI bills as EverAI, OurDream AI as DREAM STUDIO LLC AL and Secrets AI as S LABS INC. Nomi AI shows up as NOMI.AI, which is plain about what it is.

If a discreet statement matters to you, that is worth checking before you pick a yearly plan. The boxes below explain how the reviews on My Virtual Girlfriend are put together, what the cards leave out and how to use a review before you pay.

How these reviews and deals work

What these reviews are made of

I want to be upfront about what you are reading. Behind every review on My Virtual Girlfriend is my own time with the app, on the free plan or a paid one, at some point between 2023 and 2026. Prices, free allowances, refund rules and billing names are a different matter: they come from the app's own pages as checked in September 2026, meaning the pricing page, the terms and the help centre.

Where other review sites have reported something, I say so plainly and I say whose view it is.

Why start this way? Because the facts that cost you money are written down, and they are the ones people skip. A yearly plan at €47.88 looks great until you read that the refund window is 24 hours. An "unlimited" plan looks great until you see the tokens on top.

My own notes sit in each review, with the month and, for the paid ones, the amount. On a deals page I keep them out of the way, because a coupon lives or dies by today's price, not by what a plan cost back then. You get the recorded facts, my opinion of them, and a straight answer on which plan I would pick. I think that is honest about where each part comes from.

What goes into a review on this site

Every review here follows the same shape, so you can compare apps without hunting. I like order, and I think you will too. The idea is that a review answers the questions you would ask a friend who knows the category, in the order you would ask them.

Here is what each one holds:

  • The free start: what the free tier actually gives, in messages, images or coins, and whether a card is needed.
  • The plans: every plan with its monthly and yearly price, and which one I would start with.
  • The content level: SFW, suggestive or adult content allowed, and whether that is free or paid only.
  • The fine print: the billing name on your statement, the cancel path and the refund rule, in the app's own words where possible.
  • The catch: one honest downside, who runs into it, and how to work around it.

On top of that, each review says what other reviewers report about chat, memory and images, and what I make of it. If a fact is missing, the review says it is not known yet instead of guessing.

Every one of my AI companion app reviews is listed in one place, so open any of them. They are written to be read in a few minutes before you pay, not after.

How to read the facts on each card

The cards at the top of this page are short on purpose. Each one shows the app, my score out of 10, the entry price and a button to the full review. That is enough to spot a candidate, but not enough to pay. Here is how I would read them.

First, the entry price is the cheapest way in, which is often the free tier. A free tier is not automatically a generous one, though. A free-tier check on 2026-09-22 got 3-5 messages and 3-5 images out of a free Candy AI account. Nomi AI's free plan allows 50 messages every day. Both get called "free", yet they are nowhere near each other.

Second, a per-month price on a longer plan is billed upfront. OurDream AI's Deluxe Annual reads as $29.99 a month, but it is $359.88 in one payment. Always look at the upfront number.

Third, a spot near the top is not a verdict for you. The score beside it is my overall opinion, not a fit for you either: an app can look strong and still be wrong for what you want, for example Character AI, which does not allow adult content at all.

If you want to know how the facts are put together and how each score is weighted, the page on how the apps on this site are checked explains the criteria. It is short, and it will tell you what the label on each review does and does not mean.

What the cards and tables leave out

Cards and tables are great for prices. They are bad at nuance, and deals live in the nuance. Here is what you will not see on a card.

The refund rule. A cheap yearly plan with no refunds is a bigger bet than a monthly plan. Secrets AI says no partial refunds are issued for unused days, and all Moments purchases are final.

The token economy. OurDream AI's free sign-up gives 55 Dreamcoins, and chat costs 1 Dreamcoin per message, so the free start is short. Paid plans come with a monthly coin allowance, and extras cost more.

The quality. A card cannot tell you whether memory holds or images come out well. That is what the review's section on what other reviewers report is for. Read that part before a long plan, not after.

The catch each review names, and why

Every app has a catch. I would not trust a review that did not name one, and I would not trust an app that looked perfect on paper. So each review here names the one downside I think matters most, calmly, with what you can do about it.

Some examples from the records. Candy AI's adult content and images are paid only, and one published review counted visible errors in roughly 1 of every 8 generated images, with no free retry. If that rate is right, I would budget for re-rolls before buying tokens. Nomi AI's payments are nonrefundable, so the permanent free plan is your only trial. CrushOn AI's terms say it will not issue refunds of usage fees.

None of these is a reason to walk away on its own. They are reasons to pick the right plan. A no-refund policy means start monthly. A token-heavy app means watch the image budget. A thin free tier means read the review twice.

If something goes wrong after you pay, like a charge you do not recognise or a cancel button you cannot find, the help pages for billing and cancelling walk through the common problems app by app. I would bookmark them before a yearly plan, just in case.

Which plan the reviews point you to first

My default advice is the same on almost every page, and I will say it plainly: start free, then pay monthly, and only go yearly once you are sure. The yearly plans are where the real savings sit, but they are also where the refund rules bite hardest.

There are exceptions, and the reviews say so. On Candy AI, the gap is huge: €13.99 for one month against the 12-Month Plan's €3.99 a month. If you already know you like it, the yearly plan is the smart buy.

But the refund window for non-EU/UK users is 24 hours after payment, so the decision has to be made before you pay, not after.

On CrushOn AI, the cheapest paid plan is Standard, $5.99 a month, and I'd sooner begin there than on Luxe at $39.99. On SpicyChat, the $5.95 Get a Taste plan clears away the ads and waiting lines, which for many people is all they need.

The pattern: the smallest paid plan first, the big plan only when the small one runs out.

The questions a review has to answer

When I think about what someone wants to know before paying for an AI girlfriend app, it comes down to a handful of questions. A review here has to answer each one, or admit plainly that nobody knows yet.

Is it really free, and how much? Not "free to start", but the exact allowance: 50 messages a day, 20 messages a day, or a handful in total.

What does it cost to use properly? The plan that unlocks what you came for, plus any tokens or coins on top.

What content does it allow? SFW only, or adult content allowed, and on which plan.

What shows up on my statement? The billing name, as the app records it.

Can I cancel and get money back? The cancel path and the refund rule, ideally in the app's own words.

What do other reviewers report? The honest word on memory, chat and images, and my view of it.

If two apps both pass those questions, the next step is putting them side by side. That is what the head-to-head app comparisons are for: same questions, two apps, one clear pick for each kind of reader.

When a review or a deal changes

Prices in this category move, and deals move faster than anything else. Every page shows the date its facts were last checked, and when a price, a free allowance or a refund rule changes, the review changes with it. The old number does not stay on the page.

Some changes matter more than others. A free tier that gets thinner is a big deal, because it changes my advice. Outside reviews report that OurDream AI's free tier, which existed in an earlier 2025 test, is now effectively gone or much thinner. The current record says the free sign-up gives 55 Dreamcoins at 1 Dreamcoin per message. That is the kind of shift I want you to see before you sign up.

A new yearly discount matters too. If an app starts offering 30% off a year, it can move up a list for budget readers. If a refund rule gets stricter, I will say so in the catch.

What does not change a review: a promo banner that comes and goes, or a code that only works for some people. I would rather point you to the steady published price than a deal that may be gone by the time you click.

If you want to see how all of this adds up, my rankings of the best apps by category pull the current prices and free tiers into one place.

How to use a review before you pay

Here is the order I would suggest, and it only takes a few minutes. Open the review of the app you are leaning towards. Read the free-tier part first, then the catch, then the plans. If the free tier covers what you want to try, start there and do not pay yet.

If you do want to pay, pick the smallest plan that unlocks what you came for. Check the billing name if discretion matters, and read the refund rule once, slowly. If the app is not refundable, a monthly plan is your safety net.

Only then look at the yearly plan. If the saving is big and you already know you like the app, take it. If not, wait a month. The deal will still be there.

That is the guidance. My friend verdict on deals, in one breath: the yearly plans are the real discounts in this category, and they are often very good, but they are only a deal on an app you already like. Start free where you can.

Nomi AI's permanent free plan and SpicyChat's unlimited free text chat are the most honest free starts on this page.

If an app you want seems to be misbehaving before you pay, the is it down page links to our latest status check for each app, run twice a day. The questions below cover what readers ask most about deals.

Common questions

What is the best AI girlfriend deal right now?

For me, the biggest published saving is Candy AI's 12-Month Plan: €47.88 upfront, which works out to €3.99 a month against €13.99 on the 1-Month Plan. OurDream AI's Standard Annual at $119.88, or $9.99 a month instead of $19.99, is also strong. But a yearly plan is only a deal on an app you already like, so start free first.

Are there coupon codes for AI girlfriend apps?

The savings in the records are published discounts on longer plans, not codes. Character AI shows c.ai+ at $94.99 a year with "save 21%", SpicyChat says its yearly plans are about 17% off, and GirlfriendGPT lists a 20% annual saving on Premium. I would trust those over a code from an unknown page.

Can I get a refund if I buy a yearly plan and change my mind?

It depends on the app, and often the answer is no. Nomi AI says all payments are nonrefundable. Candy AI gives non-EU/UK users 24 hours after payment to request a refund. OurDream AI has a 14-day Quality Guarantee, handled case by case. Read the refund rule before you pay for a year.

Which AI girlfriend app has the best free plan?

Of the apps in the quick picks, Nomi AI has a permanent free plan: 50 messages a day, each up to 400 characters. SpicyChat offers unlimited text chat on its Default model, with ads and possible waiting lines. Candy AI's free account is much thinner, with 3-5 messages plus 3-5 images when checked on 2026-09-22.

What will show up on my bank statement?

The billing names differ by app. On a statement, Nomi AI reads NOMI.AI, CrushOn AI reads CRUSHON SUB, Candy AI reads EverAI, OurDream AI reads DREAM STUDIO LLC AL and Secrets AI reads S LABS INC. If discretion matters to you, check this in the review before you pick a plan.

Do the cheap plans include everything?

Not always. Some apps add tokens or coins on top of the plan. On Candy AI that is 100 tokens a month with the 1-Month Plan, and OurDream AI's Standard plans include 1,000 dreamcoins a month. Images, video and voice often draw on those, so heavy use can cost more than the plan price.
