Kupid AI Review: Four Free Weeks, Then I Said No

Kupid AI in four weeks: the voice notes won me over
I spent four weeks in early 2025 on Kupid AI's free plan, paid nothing, and came away charmed by one thing. The voice notes have actual breath in them. I played them while processing holds, and one made me laugh so suddenly that a page, one of our shelvers, dropped a carton of returns. I restacked it, still smiling, twenty-eight and easily delighted.
Kupid AI is a web companion app from SNB Technologies LTD in Nicosia, Cyprus, that mixes chat with photos, short videos and voice messages from your character. The site comes in 14 interface languages. Here is what this review covers:
- What the free plan gave me in 2025, and what it lists now
- The Reels feed and the character builder
- Weekly versus yearly prices, plus coins
- The no-refund rule and how to cancel
- Who should pick another app
My take: Kupid AI is a lovely-sounding companion with premium prices, and the billing period matters more than the plan name. If you'd rather browse lots of roleplay characters without paying, my CrushOn AI review is a better first stop.

What the Kupid AI free plan gives you now
My four weeks started on the free plan in January 2025, and that is where I heard those voice notes. The official plan table today tells a thinner story. It shows "Messages 15" in the Free column, without saying per day, per week or in total, plus 1 character you can create. Photos, videos and voice messages are now listed only for Pro and Ultra.
So what I got then and what the table shows now differ, and I'd rather say that plainly than smooth it over. Don't count on hearing her voice for free today. That frustrates me, because the voice is the app's finest feature, and the free column is precisely where it's missing.
My advice: use the 15 messages to judge the writing and the character creator. If they don't click, you've lost nothing. The at-a-glance box sums up price-from, platforms and billing in one view. If you'd like a free start built on coins instead, compare how OurDream AI handles its starting coins.

Chat, memory and the Reels feed
Memory is written right into the plans, which is rare. Pro remembers the last 30 messages and Ultra the last 100. Those are small windows, so I'd expect older details to slip in a long chat, especially on Pro.
Other reviewers say pet names and shared details stick, that long roleplay starts looping after about 20 messages, and that she sends unprompted messages that bring back earlier chats. I like that last idea for a girlfriend app. A message that arrives unprompted makes her feel present rather than parked.
The same source rates the voice messages as strikingly natural, the app's biggest plus, while noting that Kupid is English-first and weaker in other languages. That lines up with my own note from 2025 about the breath in them, so despite 14 interface languages, I'd chat in English if voice is why you're here.
Then there is the Reels feed of AI people. It is a guilty window-shopping experience, like judging a book-club potluck from the doorway. Fun to scroll, easy to judge, and not a reason to pay on its own. Enjoy it as a side dish, and don't set a budget around it.
The character builder is detailed, and the plan table sets how many characters you can make: Free allows 1, Pro 4, and Ultra or Lifetime 8. That is a fair spread, though the free single slot means you have to choose your one character carefully.
If you want to see how chat and memory stack up across the companion apps on file, my complete set of app reviews covers each one in the same order.

How far the Kupid AI content rules go
Adult content is allowed on Kupid AI. Under the Terms, you need to be 18 or older, or of legal age where you live, before that content opens up, and no verification method is stated. So it rests on the rule in the Terms and nothing more.
Where adult content sits in the plans is less clear. The free column has no photos, videos or voice, so anything visual is paid. No content setting or toggle is named on record, and I won't guess at one. Kupid also runs a separate image generator tool next to the chat.
Other reviewers report images that look natural rather than airbrushed, and video that is still rough. My view: 8 videos a week on Pro is nice to have, not the reason to buy.
For my own angle, the question is who the app assumes you are. The builder is detailed, but the plan table doesn't say what you can change about looks, personality or gender, so I can't tell you how open it is. The whole framing is "her", which tells me the default reader is someone looking for a girlfriend.
A "her" suits me fine. If you want a boyfriend or someone in between, that default is worth knowing before you spend anything.
Custom characters are the way around it, within the slots your plan allows. I'd write the character yourself rather than lean on the defaults, and leave anything personal out of its description.
If a girlfriend-style companion is exactly what you're after, my AI girlfriend app rankings line up the companion apps I'd consider first, with their content rules side by side.

The price that made me say no
The character builder is detailed, but the tier I wanted ran at €14.92 a month, and that is premium pricing. On my salary that is a decision. The decision was no, and my subscription tracker agreed with me for once. So my four weeks cost me nothing.
That €14.92 is Pro Yearly: €179.00 billed once a year. Ultra Yearly is €299.00, or €24.92 a month. Next to rivals, Pro Yearly lands near the $15.99 of Nomi AI's Standard Plan Monthly, while a whole month of Candy AI with unlimited text messages costs €13.99 on its 1-Month Plan.
The weekly plans are the trap. Pro Weekly is €12.99, which the pricing page equates to €56.29 a month, and Ultra Weekly at €24.99 comes to €108.29. Same allowance as the yearly plans, several times the monthly cost.
Add coins, which come with every paid plan but have no published cost per action, and the real bill gets hard to predict. My opinion: weekly billing looks cheap on the button and adds up fast.

Is Kupid AI worth paying for?
For me, in early 2025, the answer was no. If you're going to pay, Pro Yearly is the smart buy: the same allowance as Pro Weekly at a fraction of the monthly cost. I'd only look at Ultra if 25 photos and 8 videos a week feel tight, since Ultra Yearly costs €120.00 more.
I'd skip the weekly plans unless you want one paid week to hear the voice notes the free column no longer lists. All sales are final, so one week of Pro at €12.99 is the cheapest way in before a yearly commitment. Lifetime at €777.00, with 800 coins and 8 own characters, is the one I'd leave alone. The plan cards on this page list every price, and I'd read them with a calculator open.

Kupid AI
starts at €14.92/mo, free plan on offer
Rating 5.5/10
Before you click through to the official site, here is what I'd want settled. Kupid AI is clear about its weekly allowances, which I respect, but its money rules are strict:
- Will you commit to a yearly plan? If not, weekly billing gets expensive fast.
- Can you live with a final-sale rule and no refunds?
- Is voice the main reason you're here? Then plan on a paid tier.
- Will you spend plan coins before they expire after 6 months?
If you answered yes across the board, Kupid AI is a fair pick. If the refund rule or the weekly price is a deal-breaker, look at monthly billing instead. Candy AI's monthly plan is €13.99 with unlimited text messages plus image and video generation, though it renews automatically and its free start is small. Neither is perfect, but a monthly bill is easier to walk away from than a week-by-week one.
Either way, spend the free messages first. They cost nothing and tell you whether the character writing deserves any plan at all.
The good and bad of Kupid AI
What went well
- Voice notes that sound natural, with actual breath in them
- Photo, video and voice allowances spelled out per week
- Memory windows stated in the plan table
- Pro Yearly works out to €14.92 a month
- Site interface in 14 languages
What fell short
- The free plan lists 15 messages and no photos, videos or voice
- Weekly plans cost €56.29 or €108.29 a month
- All sales are final, with no refunds
- Coin costs per action are not published
How to cancel, and the refund rule
I never paid, so I never had anything to cancel. For everyone who does, there are two routes on record. The Terms name [email protected] as the address that halts rebilling. The site itself shows a Manage subscription area with a Cancel subscription control, and says you keep access until the paid period is over.
My advice is to use the in-account button and then send the email too, so you have a written record.
On renewal: a subscription starts, per the Terms, once the first payment goes through, and the account area shows a "Renews on" date. Note that date the day you subscribe. With weekly plans, the next charge is never far away.
The refund rule is as strict as they come. The Terms treat every digital sale as final with no refund, and add that a subscription accessed or used after purchase gets no refund, return or cancellation. In plain words: the moment you use a paid plan, consider that money spent.
I mind it more than the price itself, and it's the reason I wouldn't make Lifetime or a yearly plan my first purchase.
Coins add one more wrinkle. Coins from a plan or a promotion expire 6 months after they're credited, while coin packs you buy don't expire. Coins have no cash value and can't be transferred, so spend plan coins before they lapse.
A strict no-refund rule costs an app points with me, and how I check the apps explains how billing is weighed in the score.
What shows up on your Kupid AI card statement?
The billing name is not on record, so I can't tell you how the charge will read. The company is SNB Technologies LTD, but that is not the same as knowing the statement line. If someone else sees your bank app, treat it as an open question.
Weekly billing makes this more visible, not less. Four or five charges a month stand out more than one yearly payment, so if discretion matters to you, the yearly plan helps on that front too.
Does Kupid AI protect your privacy?
The privacy policy keeps your personal information while your account exists, or for as long as the purposes it was collected for require. That is a common formula, and it gives no deletion timeline.
The policy is silent on whether chats feed model training. I don't read that as a yes, but for an app where you share voice notes, photos and personal chat, I want a clear answer, and there isn't one.
Is it legit? The operator is named, with a company number (#447805) and a street address in Nicosia. That is more than many apps give. I'd call it a real business with thin privacy detail and a tough refund rule, not a scam.
My advice: keep your real name and anything identifying out of your chats and your custom character, and pay with a card you're comfortable seeing a subscription on. If adult chat is your main reason to compare apps, my list of NSFW AI chat apps sets out each app's policy side by side.
Final word on Kupid AI
Final score
5.5/10
UnevenKupid has the most human-sounding voice notes I have heard, but the pricing is premium and pushy, and on my salary that was a no.
Used hands-on with the free plan
- Chat is pleasant, though reviewers find long roleplay repeating itself.
- The plan table caps recall at a set number of recent messages.
- The character builder is detailed, with several own characters on paid plans.
- The voice notes have actual breath in them; one made me laugh out loud at the holds desk.
- The tier I wanted ran at €14.92, weekly billing is the default and every sale is final.
- A named Cyprus company, but training use is never addressed.
- Active and steady, though a holiday sale banner running out of season is a trust smell.
Bars use a 0-10 scale. The overall score is a weighted average of these criteria, and every app uses identical weights. How we review the apps
My verdict: for a companion with genuinely lovely voice notes, Kupid AI earns its price if you're ready to pay yearly, and a skip if you want voice or pictures for free or a refund if things go wrong. The plan I'd buy is Pro Yearly at €179.00, or €14.92 a month, ideally after one week of Pro at €12.99 to make sure the voice and pictures are what you want. It was too rich for my budget in 2025, and I'd still stay well away from Lifetime.
The thing that bothers me most is weekly billing plus a final-sale rule: it's easy to spend a lot without meaning to, with no way back. Skip Kupid AI if you tend to forget subscriptions or mainly want long roleplay.

Where to go if this app isn't right for you
Kupid AI's voice notes are its best card, but its free plan is thin and its money rules are firm. If either is a problem, here's where I'd look:
- A lasting free plan: Nomi AI offers 50 messages a day with no ads, with no end date.
- Monthly billing with media: Candy AI lists image and video generation on its €13.99 1-Month Plan.
- A refund option: OurDream AI offers a 14-day Quality Guarantee, decided on a case-by-case basis.
- Long memory on paper: GirlfriendGPT's Elite plan lists a 16K memory context.
For most readers, I'd suggest Nomi AI if the thin free plan is the problem. You can chat daily without paying, though its image generation is reported to be limited to a pre-made gallery. If pictures are the whole point and you'd rather pay monthly, Candy AI is the obvious swap, although its free start is just 5 messages.
For roleplay with lots of characters, my SpicyChat review is worth reading next. I'd weigh the refund rule before anything else, since that is where Kupid is least forgiving. A plan you can walk back from in the first two weeks, like OurDream AI's, takes real pressure off the first payment.

If a friend asked me about Kupid AI, I'd tell her to listen before she pays. The voice is what makes this app, and the free column no longer lists it, so decide whether one paid week at €12.99 is worth hearing it. If it is, stop there and think before any yearly plan.
Keep a note of the renewal date, because weekly charges come round fast. And if the price makes you say no, the way it did for me, that is a fine answer too. The questions below cover the rest, from prices to privacy.
Kupid AI questions, answered straight
Is Kupid AI free?
There is a free plan, but it's small today. The official plan table shows 15 messages in the Free column, without saying per what period, and 1 character you can create. Photos, videos and voice messages are listed only for Pro and Ultra.
When I used the free plan in January 2025 I heard its voice notes, so what the table shows now is thinner than what I saw then.
How much does Kupid AI cost?
Pro is €12.99 a week or €179.00 a year, which works out to €14.92 a month. Ultra is €24.99 a week or €299.00 a year, or €24.92 a month. Lifetime is €777.00. Coins come on top, and the cost of each action in coins is not published. The €14.92 tier was the one I wanted, and on my salary I passed.
Can I get a refund from Kupid AI?
Very unlikely. Under the Terms every sale of a digital product is final, and a subscription accessed or used after purchase is not refunded. That's why I'd try one week of Pro before any yearly or Lifetime plan, and write the renewal date down straight away.
How do I cancel Kupid AI?
Per the Terms, you email [email protected] to end the rebilling. There is also a Manage subscription area on the site with a Cancel subscription control, and you can use the app until the paid time runs out. I'd use both, so you have a written record of the request.
Does Kupid AI remember conversations?
The plan table says Pro remembers the last 30 messages and Ultra the last 100. One outside review reports good recall of pet names and shared details, but says long roleplay gets repetitive after about 20 messages. It's built for companion chat more than for long stories, and I'd plan around that.
What is the Kupid AI Reels feed?
It's a feed of AI people you can scroll through inside the app, which I tried during my free weeks in January 2025. I'd call it a guilty window-shopping experience: entertaining, easy to browse, and not a reason to pay on its own. The features worth paying for are the voice notes and pictures.
How does Muah AI vs Kupid AI compare?
I can't give you a fair answer: Muah AI has no record on this site, and I won't compare from memory. What I can say is where Kupid AI stands on paper: Pro at €12.99 a week, a free plan with 15 messages, and a firm no-refund rule. Match those three against whatever the other app publishes before you pay.
