Flipped AI chat in one line, after three weeks

Flipped AI, also known as Flipped Chat, is a companion and roleplay app from Singapore Desert Oasis Technical Pte. Ltd., where you chat, call and unlock AI photos with characters on web, iOS and Android. I spent three weeks with it in late 2024 on the yearly membership, which cost me $39.99. Sign-up was one code and under a minute. After apps that want your whole biography first, that felt almost illicit.

What you should know up front:

  • Free start: the official FAQ says plain chat and building characters cost nothing.
  • Paid plans: 7 Days at $4.99, 1 Month at $9.99 and 12 Months at $39.99.
  • Extras: images, video and longer voice messages cost gems, sold in packs.
  • Content level: no official policy is on record.

My take, and the short version of this Flipped AI app review: the voice calls are the warmest I have tried, and they alone made the yearly plan feel like a bargain. The catch is that the warmth never changes key. If you want a hub with a stronger roleplay lean instead, my CrushOn AI review is the one I'd open next.

Flipped AI chat for free: sign-up and what stays free

Sign-up is where Flipped AI shines. In late 2024 I got in with one code in under a minute, without handing over my life story. The at-a-glance box lists the platforms and billing; here is what they mean in practice.

According to the official FAQ, you can chat at a basic level and create characters without paying. Gems, the in-app currency, are required for images, video, longer voice messages and other extras. No daily message cap is published, and neither is the gem price of any single action.

You can have your Flipped Chat AI girlfriend online for free, then, but she is a text-first one. The moment you want a selfie or a longer voice reply, you are spending gems. I like that plain chat is not metered on the record.

I don't like that gem costs per action are unpublished, because that makes the true cost impossible to plan.

For contrast, Candy AI's Help Centre says a free user can send up to 5 messages, a much tighter start. My Candy AI review shows how differently that free side is built.

How I check the apps

Flipped AI girlfriend calls: how the voice and chat feel

The voice calls are why I remember Flipped AI fondly. They are the warmest I have tried. Her good morning had actual prosody, real rise and fall, and I blushed on the bus like a twenty-eight-year-old fool with a tote bag full of returns.

Then the friction. The warmth is so consistent it flattens. Nobody is that sunny at 6 a.m., and I say that as the woman who staffs the library's opening desk. A companion who greets every hour with the same bright tone starts to sound like a setting rather than a mood.

Outside opinion splits on the voice. Other reviewers report a voice with little range in personality that turns mechanical when the talk gets flirty, and their editor scored it 2.8/5. I heard warmth where they heard a machine, yet we agree on the narrow range.

If you want a voice that sulks, teases and sparkles by turns, this one will not do it.

The FAQ presents a Voice Mode, where your AI talks back to you in a natural way, and says gems set how long voice messages can be. Relayed Google Play reviews mention calls sharing a 10-minute total, after which you need more gems. My notes do not record the gem side of my calls, so budget for gems if long calls are your plan.

Memory is the open question. The FAQ promises a "fully scalable memory model" that comes in several options, then admits that over time the AI may lose track of earlier conversations. A relayed Google Play user review claims context slipped after only two messages, paid tier included. My notes are about voice and the phone app, not recall, so I'd treat memory as unproven.

For how the chat side stacks up against the rest, my full list of app reviews puts them side by side.

18+ readers only. Here we look at AI companion apps that include NSFW features; there are no explicit images.

Flipped AI NSFW rules, characters and who it suits

Flipped AI has no official content policy on record, so I can't give you a content level with confidence. The one outside data point is a claim that explicit pictures get softened into "glamour shots" instead of going all the way. My notes cover the voice and the phone app, not the content settings, so I won't guess at what chat allows.

My view: if adult content is the main reason you are shopping, Flipped AI is a gamble, because nothing on the record promises it. If you want a warm companion first and spice second, it is a fair bet.

Flipped Chat with an AI character you build yourself costs nothing: the FAQ lists character creation as free, and the site has a dedicated Create Character feature. Whether an AI boyfriend on Flipped Chat gets the same depth as a girlfriend is not on record, and no gender options are listed. The free builder is where you'd find out, which I like, since it costs you only an evening.

If you came for a Flipped AI dating app experience, the pieces are companion-shaped: Voice Mode, a Video Companion Mode and AI photos, all paid in gems. One outlet rates the images 3.5/5, decent with consistent characters but held back by AI artifacts. The same outlet gives video 3.2/5, citing glitches, vanishing objects and sample clips that showed a different-looking character than expected.

So Flipped AI characters sound and look best in short doses, and the voice is the star. If a girlfriend-style companion is what you want, my AI girlfriend list ranks the apps built around exactly that.

Who Flipped AI suits

Great for

  • Anyone who cares more about a warm voice on calls than long text scenes
  • Phone users who want a polished app built for hands
  • People who hate long sign-up forms
  • Budget buyers happy to commit to a $39.99 yearly plan

Skip if

  • Anyone who needs a clear, published content policy
  • People who want a character with moods beyond sunny
  • Anyone who wants to know gem costs before buying
  • Readers who need proven long-term memory

What Flipped AI costs once gems come in

Three plans are on the pricing page, checked 2026-09-22. Which tier each one buys (PRO, GOLD or PLATINUM) is not confirmed, and that vagueness is my first gripe.

I paid $39.99 for the yearly membership in November 2024, and at $3.33 a month it was practically a gift. The yearly price on record today is the same $39.99. That matters, because relayed Google Play reviews report rising subscription prices. On the yearly plan, at least, the figure has not moved from what I paid.

Gems are sold separately, from 100 for $0.99 up to 11,500 for $99.99. How many gems a selfie, a video or a longer voice reply costs is not published, so the packs are hard to judge.

The weekly plan is the one I'd avoid. At $4.99 for 7 days it works out to $21.62 a month, more than double the monthly plan at $9.99. Quick math makes the yearly plan the obvious buy once you know you like the app, and the monthly plan the safe test if you don't.

Is Flipped AI worth paying for?

For me it was. My $39.99 bought three weeks of the warmest voice calls I have tried and a phone app that felt made for hands, not squeezed down from a website. Against the plan table, the 12 Months plan is the smart buy, and I'd pick it again.

Here is what bothers me. Under the Terms, every fee becomes final as soon as the login details are used, so there's no room for second thoughts. Gem costs per action are unpublished, which makes the true monthly cost a guess the moment you want pictures or longer calls. And the tier each plan unlocks is not confirmed.

My advice: if you are unsure, start free, then take the 1 Month plan at $9.99 as a trial. If the voice wins you over, switch to the yearly plan. Skip the weekly plan outright, since it is the worst value on the page.

Flipped AI option Billed Cost Works out per month
12 Months yearly $39.99 $3.33
1 Month monthly $9.99 $9.99
7 Days weekly $4.99 $21.62

Flipped AI earned 5.8/10 in my hands-on review and starts at $3.33/mo. I have no referral deal here, so the link is a normal one. Go to the official Flipped AI site

The closest alternative I would suggest

The button above goes to the official site, flipped.chat. You may also see the app as Flipped.Chat, Flipped Chat or "Flipped: Chat with AI Character," and all of them point to the same company in Singapore.

Before you pay, here is my short checklist:

  • Refunds: none, per the Terms, after the login details have been used.
  • Where you buy decides where you cancel: App Store, Google Play or the web team.
  • Gem costs per image, video or voice reply are not published.
  • The name on your card statement is not on record.

The refund line is the one I'd weigh most. It means the first login is effectively the point of no return, so settle on the plan before your first paid login. For me, the $39.99 was a small enough bet that I didn't mind. On a pricier app I would.

If you'd rather have a web app where the subscription includes a monthly coin allowance, my OurDream AI review is the contrast I'd read: its Standard Monthly includes 1,000 dreamcoins every month.

The good and bad of Flipped AI

What went well

  • Sign-up took one code and under a minute
  • The warmest voice calls I have heard from a companion app
  • A polished phone app on iOS and Android, plus web
  • The yearly plan is $39.99, or $3.33 a month
  • Basic chatting and character creation are free, per the FAQ

What fell short

  • The voice's warmth never varies, which flattens it over time
  • Gem costs per image, video or voice reply are not published
  • Every fee turns final the moment you log in
  • No official content policy is on record

Cancelling Flipped AI depends on where you paid

My notes don't cover cancelling, so this rests on the official FAQ and Terms. The rule is simple once you know it: you cancel where you bought. On Apple, you manage or cancel it in the App Store or your account settings. On Android, it's the subscriptions page of the Google Play Store.

If you bought on the web, write to the Flipped.Chat team and include your account UID or the email you paid with.

After cancelling, your benefits carry on until the billing cycle you're in runs out. That is fair. The Terms add that changes or cancellations of a paid plan must go through the same marketplace you bought it from, so a phone purchase cannot be cancelled on the web.

Here is what I don't like. The web route means writing to a team and waiting, which is slower and less certain than a button. If you buy, use the App Store or Google Play, so cancelling stays in your own hands. Also note that neither the renewal terms nor the statement name is on record.

If a discreet statement matters to you, a store purchase at least keeps the billing inside an account you already manage.

Refunds are the hard edge: nothing is returned after you've logged in with the account. Treat every purchase as final and pick the length before you pay. For a yearly plan at $39.99 that is easy to live with. For a stack of gem packs it is not, so buy the smallest pack first.

If you want to see why I weigh cancel paths this heavily in a verdict, the page on how I check the apps explains it.

How private are your Flipped AI chats?

The privacy policy covers retention in a single line: information is held as long as the policy's purposes need it, unless the law requires something else. There is no fixed period. I'd prefer a number, because "as long as necessary" is whatever the company decides it is.

The record says nothing about AI training on your chats, and neither is how to delete your data. For an app built around intimate voice calls and photos, that is a thin privacy picture, and it is the part of Flipped AI I trust least.

My practical advice: keep real names, your workplace and anything that identifies you out of the chat. A warm voice makes it easy to overshare. Treat it as a pleasant companion, not a diary.

Is Flipped AI a legit company?

The company is Singapore Desert Oasis Technical Pte. Ltd., based in Singapore, and the app runs on web, iOS and Android. It has official FAQ answers for each cancel path and a published refund rule, even if that rule is strict. Those are signs of a real business. I used it for three weeks in late 2024, and the record lists it as active today.

Two things keep me cautious. The launch year is not on record, so I can't tell you how long the company has been around. And relayed Google Play reviews report rising subscription prices and increasing bugginess. My yearly price matched today's, but I can't vouch for the bugs since then.

My view: legit, strict on money, vague on data. If a published adult-content policy matters more to you than a warm voice, my NSFW AI chat list is the better starting point.

Final word on Flipped AI

Final score

5.8/10

Uneven

Flipped has the warmest voice calls I have heard in a polished phone app, but the relentless sunshine and weak memory keep it from depth.

Used hands-on with a paid plan

  • The warmth is so consistent it flattens; nobody is that sunny at dawn.
  • A relayed store review says it drops context almost immediately, even on a paid plan.
  • A Create Character page exists alongside the stock companions.
  • Her good morning had real prosody, the warmest voice calls I have tried, with photos and video on gems.
  • The yearly plan at $3.33 a month was practically a gift, though gems gate the extras.
  • Information is kept while necessary under its policy, with no word either way on training.
  • The phone app is polished, though store reviews mention rising prices and more bugs.

Bars use a 0-10 scale. The overall score is a weighted average of these criteria, and every app uses identical weights. How we review the apps

My verdict: if you're after warm voice calls in a polished phone app for very little money, Flipped AI earns its price, and I'd skip it if you need changing moods, a published content policy or any chance of a refund.

The plan I'd buy is the one I bought: 12 Months at $39.99, which is $3.33 a month. Skip the 7-day plan. What bothers me most is the flatness: the sunny tone never shifts, and a companion who is equally cheerful at dawn and at midnight stops feeling like a person. Second is the unpublished gem pricing. Skip Flipped AI if you want long text roleplay, proven memory or a clear statement name.

Apps like Flipped AI, and when they fit better

Flipped AI wins on warmth, price and sign-up speed. If your wish list points elsewhere, here is how I'd choose from what is on record:

  • Memory: Nomi AI is credited with proactive long-term memory, with 50 free messages each day.
  • A stated content policy: Candy AI allows adult content on paid plans, and OurDream AI allows it outright.
  • Voice minutes you can count: OurDream AI's Deluxe Annual includes 100 minutes of voice calls.
  • A cheap long plan: Candy AI's 12-Month Plan is €47.88, or €3.99 a month.

The trade-off is that none of these beats Flipped AI's $3.33 a month on the yearly plan. Candy AI comes closest on price. Nomi AI's Standard Plan Yearly is $8.33 a month, a real step up but still modest.

Price is not the only thing, though. Flipped AI's gem costs per action are unpublished, while OurDream AI at least prints its Dreamcoin allowance and Candy AI lists 100 tokens a month on its plans, so their monthly bills are easier to predict. If you want another name to weigh, my SpicyChat review is the next one I'd read.

My suggestion: keep Flipped AI for calls if you already like it, and pair it with a text-first app for longer roleplay rather than asking one app to do both.

Instead of Flipped AI

The next three apps I would open, and the reason.

If a friend asked me about Flipped AI over coffee, I'd keep it short. Sign up, which takes one code, and try the free chat and the character builder first. If the voice charms you the way it charmed me, take the 1 Month plan at $9.99 for a trial, then the yearly plan at $39.99 once you're sure.

Skip the weekly plan. Buy through your phone's store so cancelling stays in your hands, and remember that fees are final once you log in. Keep personal details out of the calls.

Your Flipped AI questions, short answers from my three weeks

Is Flipped AI free?

Partly. Per the official FAQ, simple chatting and making characters are free. Gems, the in-app currency, are needed for images, video, longer voice messages and other extras, and gem packs start at 100 gems for $0.99. No daily message cap is published.

How much does Flipped AI cost?

The pricing page, checked 2026-09-22, lists 7 Days at $4.99, 1 Month at $9.99 and 12 Months at $39.99, which is $3.33 a month. I paid that same $39.99 for the yearly membership in November 2024. Which tier each plan buys is not confirmed.

Is Flipped AI safe?

The company is Singapore Desert Oasis Technical Pte. Ltd. Its privacy policy holds information only while it is needed, with no fixed period, and whether chats train AI models is not on record. Keep identifying details out of your chats and calls.

Can I make a Flipped AI bf instead of a girlfriend?

The site has a Create Character feature, and the FAQ lists character creation as free. No gender options are listed on the record, so I can't promise the same depth for a boyfriend as for a girlfriend. The free builder is the easy way to find out.

Is Flipped AI down right now?

I can't give a live reading here. The record lists the app as active, and I used it for three weeks in late 2024. Relayed Google Play reviews do mention increasing bugginess, so if it misbehaves, try the other platform, web or phone, before assuming an outage.

How do I cancel Flipped AI?

Cancel where you bought. On iPhone that's the App Store or your account settings, on Android the Google Play subscriptions page, and web buyers email the Flipped.Chat team with their account UID or purchase email. You keep the benefits through the current cycle, and no fee is refunded after login details have been used.
