Yollo AI Review: Billing That Respects You
No-cost option: No cap on chatting with the 3 free models, memory of 2K, a 350 message length limit and 100 credits to start.
starts at $6.66/mo
What is Yollo AI, and what did thirty days show me?
Thirty days, one pass, January into February 2026. I paid $6.66 for a single 30-day pass with no auto-renewal, and when it ran out, it simply ended. In my notes I wrote "goodbye, subscription trap" with a small flourish, and I meant it.
Yollo AI is a web-based character hub where roleplay and companion chat sit next to built-in image and video generators. Its home page promises "100% free with unlimited messages" and says no login or registration is ever required.
What I'd tell a friend first:
- The free character chat really is unlimited, across several models
- The character library runs past 200,000 characters
- Paid plans are one-time passes, though the terms word it differently
- The content ceiling is suggestive, not fully open
- The interface is more fun than polished
My take: a joyful, slightly chaotic place to write stories for free, with billing that respects you on the upgrade panel and muddier wording in the terms. I had a fine month. For a side-by-side with a bigger adult-focused library, my CrushOn AI review is a good benchmark.

How far does the free plan go?
Far, for text. When I used it, I had unlimited free character chat across several models, and today's free plan lists unlimited chat on 3 free models, 2K memory, a message length of 350 and 100 starter credits. That's enough to judge the writing without paying a cent.
There's a ceiling, though. The upgrade panel lists daily messages, maximum message length, chat memory and daily free credits as tier-dependent, so free use has limits even where no numbers are published. Other reviewers report hitting the free memory limit when a roleplay stretches on. With 2K memory, I believe it.
Pictures and videos are the paid side: generation uses credits, and 100 starter credits won't last long. My advice is to treat the free plan as a writing room and the credits as a separate hobby budget.
For the quick facts on platforms and billing, see the Yollo AI at a glance box. If pictures matter more to you than chat, compare the free start in my Candy AI review, where images sit at the centre of the plans.

How good is the Yollo AI chat?
Good enough to keep a library worker busy for a month. The library runs past 200,000 characters, and I swapped narrators per scene like rotating translators through the same novel. My comparative-literature minor finally earned its keep. That's the fun of Yollo AI chat: not one companion, but a whole shelf of voices you can hand the story to.
Outside reviews support the variety. Other reviewers report that two characters escalated at clearly different speeds, and that small continuity details held over a dozen-plus exchanges. So the characters aren't all cut from the same cloth, which matches my experience of swapping them mid-story.
Memory is the limit. The free plan runs on 2K memory, and Chat Memory is a Pro+ benefit. The character creation form says the higher the memory, the more conversations a character can remember. If you like long, slow-burn stories with one character, that's the upgrade I'd care about most.
If you like hopping between narrators the way I did, the free memory matters less, because each scene is its own chapter.
The interface is more fun than polished, like a zine collection with the good photocopier. As someone who has loved worse-organized spaces, I didn't mind. If you want a clean, minimal app, it may feel busy for the first evening.
My view: for story-hoppers and people who like to experiment, the chat is a genuine strength. For one steady companion who remembers everything, look at the memory upgrade or another app. My full list of app reviews sets Yollo next to the memory-first options.
18+ readers only. Here we look at AI companion apps that include NSFW features; there are no explicit images.
Where is the content ceiling?
Suggestive-only sets the ceiling. The content policy on file is soft: mature, flirty themes, but not a fully open adult platform. If you want romantic, suggestive roleplay, it may suit you well. If you came for something with no content filter, look elsewhere instead of fighting the app.
The sign-up side is thin. The terms and privacy policy state no 18+ requirement, and no gate is described. The character creation form does say a persona must be older than 18, which is a sensible rule for characters, but it says nothing about the people using the site.
For an app that also generates images and video, I'd like a clearer rule on who may sign up. That's a real gap, and I'll name it calmly.
The media tools are the draw beyond chat. There's an image generator that works from text or from another image, a video generator, and Pro+ benefits called Chat to images, Chat to Videos and 4K Images. Video with audio needs VIP membership and uses extra credits.
Other reviewers report a five-second clip made from a template that stayed stable, with no warping, a decent sign for a feature many rivals don't offer.
On inclusivity, the FAQ confirms you can make AI characters yourself, and nothing on file assumes one kind of user. With a library that big, you can find or build a partner of any kind for your story, which I appreciate.
My take: Yollo is a text playground with a media studio attached. If a steady romantic companion is your real goal, my AI girlfriend app picks cover apps built around one relationship rather than a library.

What do the passes cost?
In January 2026 I paid $6.66 for one 30-day pass. Today's list looks different: the 30-day passes are $24.90 for Standard, $29.90 for Premium and $34.90 for Deluxe, with 2,000, 3,000 and 5,000 credits. The 365-day passes are $79.90, $99.90 and $159.90, with 12,000, 20,000 and 40,000 credits.
$6.66 is now what the Standard 365-day pass works out to per month. So what I paid for a month then is a monthly equivalent of the yearly pass now.
Each pass is a one-time payment for a set period with a credit bundle. A secondary source puts a text-to-image picture at about 20 credits, image-to-image at about 60 and a video clip at about 100 credits. Quick math: Standard's 2,000 credits for 30 days buy about 100 pictures or about 20 clips.
Against the field, the 30-day passes are pricey: Candy AI's 1-Month Plan is €13.99, and OurDream AI's Standard Monthly is $19.99. The yearly passes are where Yollo competes.
My take: pay once, pay yearly, and only if you'll use the media tools. For chat alone, the free plan already covers you.

Official prices, checked 2026-09-23. Every pass is a one-time payment with credits included; in January 2026 I paid $6.66 for one 30-day pass.
Is Yollo AI worth paying for?
Only if you want the media tools. My $6.66 pass in January 2026 was billing that respected me, but today's 30-day Standard pass is $24.90, which is steep for a trial.
For most people, the Standard 365-day pass at $79.90 is the smart buy: $6.66 a month and 12,000 credits for the year. Premium for 365 days at $99.90 ($8.33 a month, 20,000 credits) suits a heavier picture habit. I'd only reach for Deluxe at $159.90 if video is the main hobby.
One thing I like: credits bought in the mobile app can move to your web account, so they're not stranded on one device. The What each Yollo AI plan costs table lists every pass side by side.

Rating 5.8/10
That card leads to the official Yollo AI site. I had a fine month there and recommended it to exactly one friend who tolerates my hobby. She got it immediately. Still, before you pay, keep these points in mind:
- The terms give no registered legal entity, just the name Yollo AI
- The upgrade panel says one-time payments, while the terms describe renewing subscriptions
- The refund window is 7 days, with strict usage limits
- Your chats can end up as training data for the AI models
- The platform on record is the web only
For me, the first two are the real catch. I like knowing who I'm paying, and I like one clear answer on renewals. Neither is a reason to skip the free plan, but both are reasons to start small with money.
If you want media from a named company with clearer plans, OurDream AI is the one I'd compare. It's run by Dream Studio USA, Inc., and for $19.99 its Standard Monthly bundles unlimited messages, picture and video generation, and 1,000 dreamcoins a month. My OurDream AI review covers where those coins run short.
The good and bad of Yollo AI
What went well
- Unlimited free character chat on 3 free models
- A character library that runs past 200,000 characters
- One-time passes; mine in January 2026 ended without renewing
- Built-in image and video generators
- No login or registration required, per the official FAQ
What fell short
- Suggestive-only content ceiling
- Free memory is limited to 2K, and it shows in long roleplay
- The terms and the upgrade panel disagree on whether plans renew
- Conversations may feed AI model training
Is there anything to cancel?
In my case, no. I bought one 30-day pass in January 2026, and in February it simply expired. No renewal, no cancel button to hunt for. That's the billing I want from every app: one-time passes that never auto-renew. Goodbye, subscription trap, $6.66 at a time.
The official wording today isn't that clean, so here it is plainly. According to the upgrade panel and the refund policy, every plan is paid once, never auto-renews and never charges again, and the refund policy goes on to say you have nothing to cancel. The terms of service tell another story: they describe monthly or annual subscriptions that auto-renew, to be cancelled only through the payment partner you bought from.
On top of that, the site labels one checkout option, GankNow, as a subscription that recurs, not a single payment.
My advice: if you pay by card, PayPal or pay-by-bank, check your statement after the pass ends to confirm nothing new appears. If you pay through GankNow, assume it renews and cancel it there when you're done.
Refunds are possible but tight. Requests must come within 7 days of purchase, from an account that has used under 30 chats, no more than 80 points of image generation and has created under 5 Bots. Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 business days. The terms also say fees are non-refundable except as noted, with no refunds for partial periods.
No statement name is on record. For the sources behind each billing fact, see how I check the apps.
Does it use your chats?
Yes, and you should know before typing anything personal. The privacy policy says data may be used for training its AI models, and that dialogue text may be converted into anonymized formats for academic partnerships. Anonymized is better than nothing, but I'd keep real names, places and anything sensitive out of your stories. With a library of 200,000-plus characters to play with, you never need to play yourself.
On storage, your personal data stays while the account is active, or for as long as the service needs it. You can delete your account from the Settings page or by emailing support. There's no fixed deletion window on file, so I'd delete the account when you're done rather than leave it idle.
The no-login promise is the privacy win. If no registration is needed, you can chat without tying anything to an email address.
Is Yollo AI legit?
It's a working web app with real plans, a published refund policy and a privacy policy, and my month on a pass went as billed. The company, though, is named only as Yollo AI, with no registered legal entity in the terms or privacy policy and no country on record. That doesn't make it a scam, but it makes it harder to know who is behind it if something goes wrong.
Payments run by card, pay-by-bank, PayPal or GankNow. Credits bought in the mobile app can move to the web account, though subscription benefits cannot. My take: great for free chat, careful with money. If you'd rather compare apps with a more open content level, my NSFW AI chat app rankings list them.
Final word on Yollo AI
Final score
5.7/10
UnevenYollo is a fun month: unlimited free chat, a vast library and passes that respect you, but the paperwork is thin and the privacy terms are not.
Used hands-on with a paid plan
- Swapping narrators per scene across several models kept the chat lively, within a suggestive ceiling.
- The free memory ceiling shows once a roleplay runs long.
- Create your own characters, with a daily limit on new ones.
- Image and video generators run on credits, and short clips held together.
- Unlimited free chat and one-time passes that never auto-renew, $6.66 at a time.
- The policy allows training on your data and no legal entity is named.
- The iOS app vanished and the Android button leads to a differently named app.
Bars use a 0-10 scale. The overall score is a weighted average of these criteria, and every app uses identical weights. How we review the apps
My verdict: Yollo AI is worth it for free, story-hopping character chat and for anyone who hates subscriptions, and a skip if you want a fully open adult app or one companion with long memory.
The plan I'd buy is the Standard 365-day pass at $79.90, or $6.66 a month, the same figure I paid for one 30-day pass in January 2026. Only buy it after the free plan has hooked you.
What bothers me most is the mixed renewal wording, together with no legal entity named behind the app. My own pass ended cleanly, but the terms don't promise that for everyone.
It's the app I'd send a friend who loves swapping narrators and doesn't mind a messy shelf. The one friend I did send got it immediately.

Other apps that may suit you better
Yollo is strong on free chat, variety and one-time billing, so the right alternative depends on what you miss. Here's how I'd match you:
- Nomi AI if memory matters most: a free plan of 50 messages a day with no ads, and chat described as having proactive long-term memory
- Candy AI for images and voice calls on a clear monthly plan, from €13.99
- OurDream AI for image and video generation from a named company, from $19.99 a month
- GirlfriendGPT for a free start that tops up daily: 20 bonus messages, then 10 more a day from Daily Login
For most readers who outgrow Yollo's free memory, Nomi AI is my first suggestion. It runs on web, iOS and Android, and its Standard Plan Yearly at $99.99 comes to $8.33 a month, matching Yollo's Premium 365-day pass to the cent, but spent on chat rather than credits. It does renew, though, so you trade Yollo's pay-once feel for steadier memory.
If a huge community library is what you loved here, my SpicyChat review covers another place to swap characters freely. Whichever you choose, start free and let a month of use decide.
Instead of Yollo AI
The next three apps I would open, and the reason.
Candy AI
free plan, starts at €3.99/mo
Rating 8.2/10
OurDream AI
free plan, starts at $9.99/mo
Rating 6.8/10
Nomi AI
free plan, starts at $8.33/mo
Rating 8.3/10
The three cards cover what Yollo doesn't: Candy AI for pictures and voice, OurDream AI for media from a named company, Nomi AI for memory. None of them offers Yollo's pay-once passes, so read each renewal rule before you pay.
My suggestion: keep Yollo's free chat as your story playground and pick one of these only for the thing it lacks. If billing that respects you matters most, Yollo still wins that round in my book. A pass that simply ends is rarer than it should be, and after my own thirty days I'd count it as a real feature.
Yollo AI questions, answered
Is Yollo AI free?
Yes. The official site says it is 100% free with unlimited messages, and the free plan lists unlimited chat on 3 free models, 2K memory, a message length of 350 and 100 starter credits. In January 2026 I had unlimited free character chat across several models. Image and video generation use credits, so heavy media use needs a paid pass.
How much did the Yollo AI pass cost?
I paid $6.66 for one 30-day pass in January 2026, and it ran out after thirty days without renewing. Today's list shows 30-day passes at $24.90, $29.90 and $34.90, and 365-day passes at $79.90, $99.90 and $159.90. The Standard 365-day pass works out to $6.66 a month.
Does Yollo AI renew automatically?
The official wording conflicts. The upgrade panel and refund policy say all plans are one-time payments with no auto-renewal. The terms describe subscriptions that auto-renew, and the GankNow payment option is described as recurring. My own pass simply ended. Check your statement after a pass ends, and cancel through the payment partner if a charge repeats.
Can I get a refund from Yollo AI?
Sometimes. You have 7 days from purchase to ask, and the account needs to stay below 30 chats used, at or below 80 points of image generation, and below 5 created Bots. Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 business days. There are no refunds for partial periods.
Does Yollo AI train on my chats?
Yes. The privacy policy says data may be used for training its AI models, and dialogue text may be converted into anonymized formats for academic partnerships. Personal data is kept for as long as the account is active or as needed to provide the service. Keep personal details out of your chats.
Is there a Yollo AI app for phones?
The platform on record for Yollo AI is the web. The official site links an Android companion app called Wonda, and credits bought in a mobile app can be moved to the web account, though subscription benefits cannot be transferred.
