Infatuated AI review: reliable, cheap, never surprising
Has a free plan
starts at $6.99/mo
What is Infatuated AI, and who is it for?
Infatuated AI is a web companion and roleplay app from Cogito Sum LLC in the United States, with image and video generation paid through tokens. It runs in the browser, in English, and adult content sits behind the subscription.
I paid for the monthly plan in June 2024 and used it for four weeks, through early summer. My one-word summary is "reliable". It's the starter app I'd hand someone who wants things to just work, and that's both its charm and its limit.
What stood out in my month, and what you should know today:
- It picks up your tone with eerie accuracy, fast
- The monthly price is low enough to stop worrying about
- Nothing about it ever caught me off guard
- Today's refund policy says all sales are final
My quick take: great for a calm, consistent companion on a small budget. Less great if you open these apps hoping to be surprised, like I do. If you want a chat-first rival with a different pricing model, my CrushOn AI review makes a handy comparison.

Infatuated AI sign-up and the free start
I went straight to the paid monthly plan in June 2024, so I'm reading today's free allowance off the official FAQ rather than from my own chats. It says the free version lets you send up to ten messages per chat. Not per day, not in total: ten inside each conversation.
The homepage adds that creating your AI companion costs nothing to start. Premium is where unlimited messaging, unfiltered chat and voice calls live.
My view: ten messages per chat is enough to hear a character's voice and not much else. The tone-matching I loved took about a week to show up, so the free start won't show you the app's best trick. Treat it as a quick taste of the writing, then decide whether $9.99 is worth a real try.
For a different kind of free start, OurDream AI lists 55 Dreamcoins to begin with at 1 Dreamcoin per message, though its help centre says it doesn't currently offer free dreamcoins. My OurDream AI review goes through that. The Infatuated AI at a glance box just below sums up platforms, content rules and billing.

How Infatuated AI talks, and how well it listens
This is where Infatuated AI earned its place in my notes. It adapts to your tone with eerie accuracy. Within a week it had absorbed my lowercase texting and my dry asides, and my companion started to sound like my group chat with friends. I chose to take that as flattery.
The company's own promise lines up with that. According to the homepage FAQ, the memory system carries over, session after session, your pacing, your tone preferences, the gifts you've received, your conversation boundaries and your communication style. I can vouch for the style and tone part. The rest of that list I can't speak to from my notes.
Now the friction, and it's a gentle one. Tidy and reliable is also the ceiling. In four weeks nothing surprised me, and surprise is most of why a woman with a full life and a shelf of her own opens these apps at all. The replies were good, they fit me, and I could have predicted most of them.
Outside reports point the same way. Other reviewers report good short-term memory, with conversations that often drift back to flirtation rather than building deeper continuity, and one notes that memory depth over long sessions hasn't been confirmed. If light and flirty is what you want, that drift works in your favour. If you'd rather have a slow-burn story that takes turns you didn't plan, it's a limit.
My advice: write to it the way you'd text a friend, because it will learn that voice and give it back. Just don't expect it to lead. For how other apps handle memory and chat quality, my full collection of companion reviews scores them all the same way.
18+ readers only. Here we look at AI companion apps that include NSFW features; there are no explicit images.
What Infatuated AI allows, and on which plan
Adult content is paid-only here. Every paid plan lists 18+ videos and images, a video generator and custom character creation, and premium is what unlocks unfiltered chat. The free version stays behind that line.
I think that's a fair, readable rule. You know before paying that ten free messages per chat won't preview the full content level. What I'd like is a plainer word on how the settings work once you subscribe. The official pages don't name a content toggle or a filter menu, so I won't invent one.
The art generator is listed with both SFW and NSFW modes as a plan benefit. That split is handy if you want some images tame and others not, and it suggests the app expects you to pick your own level.
On age, the Terms set a minimum of 18, and no verification method is stated. That leaves it on the honour system, which is common, but not reassuring.
For inclusive customisation, the facts are thinner than I'd like. Creating a character costs 25 tokens, and characters can be published to the Discover feed. What the builder lets you set, such as looks, personality or gender, isn't spelled out on the official pages.
What I can tell you is that in my month the app bent to my voice, which counts for a lot when you're not the "typical" user an app imagines.
If you're comparing companions more than content rules, my shortlist of the best AI girlfriend apps lines them up side by side.
Who Infatuated AI suits
Great for
- People who want a companion that mirrors their texting style
- Anyone who wants a low monthly price they won't worry about
- Readers who like a calm, predictable chat partner
- Light users who want the odd picture or voice message
Skip if
- Anyone who opens these apps hoping to be surprised
- Readers who need a refund safety net, since all sales are final
- People who want a generous free allowance
- Heavy video users on a tight budget
Plans versus tokens: what Infatuated AI really costs
In June 2024 I paid $9.99 for a single month, and the plans page still lists the 1 Month (Starter Pack) at $9.99 in September 2026. That price was low enough that I never once did guilt math, which is a rare distinction in this genre.
Today the 3 Months plan works out to $7.99 a month with 150 tokens a month, and 12 Months to $6.99 a month with 175. The monthly plan comes with 100. Longer plans cost less and hand you more tokens, which I like.
Tokens are where the real bill forms. An image in chat costs 3, a voice message 5, creating a character 25 and One Click Video 10. Ultra Video runs 40, 70 and 100 tokens for 5, 10 and 15 seconds. Quick math: 100 tokens buys 33 in-chat images, or one 15-second Ultra Video.
Messages are muddled. The plans page prices a sent message at 1 token, while the Terms say a standard text message uses 2. Sources differ, so I'd plan with the higher number. One fair touch: the Terms say tokens come back automatically if an image or video fails to appear.

The 1 Month plan is still $9.99, the price I paid in 2024. Longer plans add tokens too: 100, 150 or 175 a month.
Which Infatuated AI plan I'd start with
The 1 Month plan at $9.99, exactly what I bought. A month was enough for me to learn what this app is: a reliable companion that picks up your voice within a week. You'll know by the end of it whether that's what you want.
Only then would I look at 12 Months, at $6.99 a month and 175 tokens. The catch is the refund policy: all sales are final, so a yearly plan is $83.88 that stays spent even if you have second thoughts in week two.
Top-up packs are the other thing to watch: 150 tokens for $10.50, 200 for $11.90, 500 for $26.25. If you're buying a pack every month, you're paying roughly double the plan, and I'd stop and rethink at that point.
The table right below, What each Infatuated AI plan costs, lays out all three plans side by side.
| Infatuated AI option | Billed | Cost | Works out per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Month (Starter Pack) | monthly | $9.99 | $9.99 |
| 3 Months | quarterly | $23.97 | $7.99 |
| 12 Months | yearly | $83.88 | $6.99 |

The closest alternative I would suggest
Joi AI
starts at $13.99/mo, free plan on offer
Rating 5.8/10
The card above links to the official Infatuated AI site, with a partner app beside it. The token system rewards some habits and punishes others, so here's how I'd sort yourself before clicking:
- Mostly text and the odd picture: Infatuated AI's monthly plan covers you, with in-chat images at 3 tokens.
- Regular voice messages: at 5 tokens each, 100 tokens is 20 of them, so look at the yearly plan's 175.
- Video fans: one 15-second Ultra Video eats 100 tokens, a whole month's allowance on the monthly plan.
- You want the app to surprise you: consider the partner, because predictable is the word I'd use here.
For a rival that also mixes a plan with tokens, Candy AI's 1-Month Plan is €13.99 with 100 tokens a month, and non-EU/UK users get 24 hours to ask for a refund. That short window is more than Infatuated AI offers today. My Candy AI review and its token math compares the two approaches.
My opinion: Infatuated AI rewards restraint. Chat freely, spend tokens on the moments that matter, and it stays one of the cheaper companions around.
The good and bad of Infatuated AI
What went well
- Adapts to your tone and texting style quickly
- Low plan prices: $9.99 monthly, down to $6.99 a month yearly
- Longer plans include more tokens each month
- Voice messages, voice calls and video generation on paid plans
- Tokens are returned if an image or video doesn't appear
What fell short
- Reliable to the point of predictable
- All sales are final, with no refunds under any circumstances
- The free version is 10 messages per chat
- Video eats tokens fast, up to 100 for a 15-second clip
Cancelling Infatuated AI and the refund rule
My month ended in July 2024, after four weeks. Today, the part of this app that bothers me most is the refund policy. Revised April 10, 2026, it says all sales are final, with no refund, credit or exchange given in any circumstances. Token bundles are final once the tokens reach your account.
That revision is dated well after my month, so I can't tell you what the rule looked like in 2024. What I can tell you is how I'd buy under today's version: the length of your first plan is the one decision that really matters, so start with a single month.
The cancel steps aren't published on the pages on record, and neither is how renewal works. I'd rather say that plainly than guess at a menu path. My suggestion: right after you pay, find the subscription page in your account so you know where cancelling lives before any renewal date comes round.
The billing name on your card statement isn't on record either. If a discreet statement line matters to you, that's a real gap, and it's worth paying with a method you're comfortable seeing any merchant name on.
The billing box below this section repeats what is known and marks what isn't. Read it before you buy, not after. If you're curious how refund rules and missing cancel paths affect the score, the page on how I check the apps explains it.
What does Infatuated AI do with your data?
Under the privacy policy, the company will delete or anonymize your personal information once it has no ongoing legitimate business need to process it. Standard wording, but with no time frame. I'd like a number of days, and there isn't one.
On training, the answer is unclear. The policy says it may use your information to provide, operate and maintain its services, and to improve, personalize and expand them. That's broad enough to cover a lot. It doesn't say chats train models, and it doesn't say they don't.
Here's why that matters on this particular app. The thing I liked most, the way it absorbed my texting style within a week, means it's learning from how you write. That's lovely inside your own chat. I'd still keep names, addresses and workplace details out of it, because the policy doesn't promise where that learning ends.
The paid plans list a private gallery, with separate unlock prices on the plans page. I read that as the app expecting you to want your images kept to yourself, though nothing more about storage is on record.
Is Infatuated AI legit?
As far as the facts go, yes. It's run by Cogito Sum LLC, a US company, with a live site, public plans with dated prices and written Terms. My own paid month in 2024 is where the "reliable" label comes from.
What's missing is a launch date, a billing name and a cancel path, and those are what I'd want before calling it fully transparent.
For a wider look at which apps are clearer on content rules and billing, my ranking of NSFW AI chat apps puts them side by side.
Final word on Infatuated AI
Final score
6.0/10
OkayInfatuated is the reliable starter: it learns your texting voice fast and stays steady, but tidy is also its ceiling and the tokens add up.
Used hands-on with a paid plan
- It picked up my lowercase texting and dry asides within a week, though nothing ever surprised me.
- It keeps tone and style across sessions; deeper continuity stays shallow.
- Character creation exists but costs tokens each time.
- Voice calls, images and video are all on the menu, each priced in tokens.
- The monthly price was low enough for no guilt math, but the free tier is tiny and every sale is final.
- The company name conflicts between pages and training use is unstated.
- Tidy and dependable for the whole month I paid for it.
Bars use a 0-10 scale. The overall score is a weighted average of these criteria, and every app uses identical weights. How we review the apps
My verdict: it earns its price if you want a steady, affordable companion that learns to talk like you. Skip it if surprise is the point, or if you need a refund option.
The plan I'd buy is the 1 Month plan at $9.99, the same one I paid for in 2024, and the 12 Months plan at $6.99 a month only if it sticks.
What bothers me most is the refund policy today: all sales final, under any circumstances. Close behind it is the missing billing name. And the honest personal catch: in four weeks nothing surprised me. Looking for an app that keeps you guessing? Walk on by.

When another app fits better than Infatuated AI
Infatuated AI is a good match for someone who wants calm, cheap and consistent. If that's not you, here's where I'd look instead:
- Nomi AI if you want a free plan that lasts: 50 messages a day, 2 images a day, no ads, and a yearly plan at $99.99.
- OurDream AI if you want adult content that doesn't depend on a subscription, plus group chat. It lists 55 Dreamcoins to start, though its help centre says it doesn't currently offer free dreamcoins.
- Candy AI if you want a similar plan-plus-tokens setup with a short refund window: 24 hours for most buyers outside the EU and UK.
- GirlfriendGPT if you like a daily drip of free messages: 20 bonus messages, then another 10 each day from Daily Login.
For someone put off by the all-sales-final rule, I'd point to Candy AI, simply because it offers a window at all. For someone who, like me, wants more surprise and deeper continuity, Nomi AI is where I'd look first: other reviewers report proactive long-term memory there, which sounds less scripted.
If you'd rather browse a big shared library of characters than shape one to your own voice, my SpicyChat review covers a very different kind of app. It's worth a look before you commit to any token plan.
Instead of Infatuated AI
The next three apps I would open, and the reason.
Candy AI
free plan, starts at €3.99/mo
Rating 8.2/10
OurDream AI
free plan, starts at $9.99/mo
Rating 6.8/10
Nomi AI
free plan, starts at $8.33/mo
Rating 8.3/10
Of the three cards above, the one I'd weigh hardest against Infatuated AI is Candy AI, since both pair a plan with tokens and the difference comes down to price and refunds. OurDream AI makes sense if adult content shouldn't hinge on paying. Nomi AI is my suggestion if you want a daily free allowance and a stronger reputation for memory.
None of them is simply better. Each fixes a different Infatuated AI weakness, so choose by the one that bugs you most. If predictability was your problem too, start with the card that promises the most range.
Infatuated AI: common questions
Is Infatuated AI free?
Partly. The free version lets you send up to ten messages per chat, and building your first AI companion is free. Unlimited messaging, unfiltered chat and voice calls need a paid plan, which starts at $9.99 for one month or $6.99 a month on the 12-month plan.
How much does Infatuated AI cost with tokens?
The monthly plan includes 100 tokens, the 3-month plan 150 a month and the 12-month plan 175 a month. An image in chat costs 3 tokens, a voice message 5, creating a character 25 and a 15-second Ultra Video 100. Extra packs start at $10.50 for 150 tokens. The plans page says a message costs 1 token, the Terms say 2.
Does Infatuated AI remember how I talk?
In my month in 2024, yes: within a week it had picked up my lowercase texting and dry asides. The company says its memory keeps your communication style, tone preferences, pacing, boundaries and gifts across sessions. It's reliable rather than surprising, though, so expect consistency more than plot twists.
Can I get a refund from Infatuated AI?
No. The refund policy, revised April 10, 2026, says all sales are final, and nothing is refunded, credited or exchanged, whatever the reason. Once tokens land in your account, that bundle cannot be undone either. That's why I'd start with a single month.
Does Infatuated AI allow adult content?
Only with a subscription. The paid plans list 18+ images and videos, and premium unlocks unfiltered chat. The free version doesn't include that level. The Terms set a minimum age of 18.
Is Infatuated AI safe for my privacy?
The privacy policy says personal information is deleted or anonymized once there's no legitimate business need for it, without a time frame. Whether chats train models is unclear, since the policy says data may be used to improve and expand the services. The billing name isn't on record, so keep sensitive details out of your chats.
