NSFW AI chat apps compared: who fits which reader

OurDream AI is a strong pick for the most on one plan: unlimited messages, pictures and video, plus 1,000 dreamcoins every month, behind a thin free start. Joi AI does something few apps here do: live video calls, which reviews call the most immersive feature they looked at.

All eleven apps on this page are companion or roleplay apps whose official policy allows adult content, Candy AI on paid plans only. That's the entry ticket. If paying nothing matters more to you than the content level, my roundup of free AI chat apps is the better starting point.

Next comes the free start: is there one, and does the app publish what it covers? Then the price of the cheapest plan worth paying for, and whether coins or tokens sit on top. After that, what the app offers beyond text: images, video, voice calls, group chat and your own characters. Last, the fine print: the name on your bank statement, the cancel path and the refund rule.

The order weighs these facts from each app's official pages, plus outside reviews where the official pages are silent. None of it is hands-on testing, and I'd rather say so plainly. If you want the detail of how the records are gathered, it's all in how I check the apps.

The free plan has limits of its own: 4K memory, replies up to 180 tokens, and no images or voice. Paying $5.95 a month (or $60 a year) for Get a Taste removes the ads and the queues and adds a memory manager for key details. That's the cheapest step up on this list, and I think it's fair. True Supporter at $19.95 is only worth it if you want unlimited in-chat images and 8K context.

My hesitation is quality control. Reviews point to a Trustpilot score of 2/5, where users complain of replies that repeat and scenes that feel rushed, and say the same character looks different in every picture. The adult image setting is also said to sit several menus deep. Since text chat is free, none of that costs you anything until you pay.

Refunds are off the table once the account has been used, except in exceptional circumstances. The statement reads NDAI.CHAT. Skip it if images matter most. To see where it sits against every other ranking on the site, start from my overview of top AI apps.

Standard is the plan I'd pay for once the daily cap starts to pinch. It's $15.99 a month, $39.99 a quarter or $99.99 a year, which comes to $8.33 a month. You get unlimited messages at up to 800 characters, voice calls, up to 10 active Nomis and group chats, and 40 image credits a day.

The catch is pictures. Other reviewers report that pictures are picked from a ready-made gallery rather than made from your own prompt, and that adult image requests are often refused. So if images are why you're here, move Nomi AI down your own list. For chat and long-term memory, those same reviews rate it highly.

The refund rule is strict: all payments are nonrefundable, dissatisfaction included. With 50 free messages a day, I see no reason to pay early. The statement reads NOMI.AI.

What you pay for is the look and the sound. Reviewers describe its images and video as highly realistic, with a character's appearance holding steady across them, and call its voice calls expressive. The builder lets you set ethnicity, looks, personality, voice and hobbies, which suits anyone who knows exactly who they want to see.

Plans are in euros: €13.99 for one month, €26.97 for three and €47.88 for twelve, which is €3.99 a month. Every term has unlimited text and 100 tokens monthly; an image costs 2 tokens, and a video clip anywhere from 12 to about 80. Outside sources say private content unlocks run 100-400 tokens a bundle, so the meter can climb fast.

Weak spots: character consistency lasts roughly 10-20 messages before details slip, per other reviewers, and refunds outside the EU and UK close after 24 hours or 20 tokens. The statement reads EverAI, which is discreet. Skip it if you want adult chat for free. The token costs are itemised in my Candy AI review.

The free start is my sticking point. Joining and browsing cost nothing, but chat runs at 1 dreamcoin per message, and the official pages disagree: the plan list mentions 55 Dreamcoins to start, while the help centre says free dreamcoins aren't given by default. I'd count on almost nothing free.

The plan I'd buy is Standard: $19.99 monthly, or $119.88 billed yearly, which comes to $9.99 a month. I'd skip Deluxe until you know you want its voice minutes, 50 videos and 3x chat memory.

The catch is coins. Other reviewers report that video and voice calls drain them fast, so the real monthly cost can drift above the plan price. Its 14-day Quality Guarantee, which is judged one case at a time, softens that, and it's kinder than most refund rules on this page. On your statement, look for DREAM STUDIO LLC AL.

The free account is a taste, not a plan. It shows 10 Neurons, 6 image generations for the life of the account (stored for 7 days), and free character creation. No free message cap is published, which cuts both ways: you won't hit a counter, but you can't plan around one either.

Premium - Monthly at $13.99 is the plan I'd look at. It adds better chat models, improved memory, one free custom character, and about 50 images and 5 videos a month. The reviews are blunt that free chat feels stiff and forgetful while Premium feels warmer, so judge it on the paid plan.

Here's what bothers me: subscriptions are generally non-refundable once activated, and a failed image still spends Neurons. The statement reads joi.com, and you cancel under My Subscriptions.

Skip it if you want lots of free chat before paying. If a steady companion matters more than video, my ranked AI girlfriend apps are the better list.

The free plan is small but usable: 20 messages a day, all companions and basic memory. New signups get one free custom companion and a one-time 200 Moments, roughly 4 images. After that the free plan adds no Moments and can't buy any, so past the first few pictures I'd count on text chat only.

Premium is the plan I'd pick: $19.99 monthly, or $109.99 for the year (about $9.17 per month). For that you get messaging with no cap, 8,000 Moments every month, pictures and video, and access to the premium AI models. At roughly 50 Moments per image, 8,000 Moments covers about 160 images.

Ultimate costs $39.99 a month and layers on group chats, personas, advanced customisation and 15,000 Moments. I'd skip it unless group chat is the point.

The catch is consistency. Reviews say faces and hands can drift off-model, and that a failed image still spends Moments, although the Advanced image model does much better. Memory is described as average: fine inside one chat and for a little while after, and in one test the app recalled a detail accurately after a full week, but this is not a memory-first app. Voice calls get warm words, with one review calling them top-tier.

The money rules are firm. There are no partial refunds for unused days, and all Moments purchases are final. You cancel in account settings or through support, and the plan then stops when the current billing period runs out.

Compare plans by what they add, such as unlimited messages, images or voice. Then look at what sits on top, because coins, credits and Moments can push the real cost above the plan price. At the low end, the cheapest monthly plans are Get a Taste on SpicyChat for $5.95 and Standard on CrushOn AI for $5.99.

The first is a plan plus coins. OurDream AI's Standard includes 1,000 dreamcoins a month, Secrets AI's Premium includes 8,000 Moments, and JuicyChat's Premium at $12.99 includes 6,000 JuicyCoins, where a photo costs 30 coins. If you mostly chat, the plan price is close to your real cost. If you want lots of images or video, budget more.

The second is message credits. On CrushOn AI, the free plan comes with 100 message credits monthly, and Standard at $5.99 gives 2,000. Its refund rule is strict, though: no refunds of usage fees. My CrushOn AI review walks through the tiers before you choose.

The third is unlimited chat with extras on top. SpicyChat's free plan has unlimited text, Nomi AI's Standard has unlimited messages, and Nastia AI's Unlimited plan at $15.99 adds 400 daily tokens. Kindroid's free plan gives unlimited messages on its base model and sells selfie credits separately, 50 for $6.99.

This is the style I trust most, because the price you see is close to what you pay.

Soulkyn is the outlier: the only plan confirmed on its official pages is Deluxe, priced in euros, with unlimited chat and images and video paid per use.

My rule of thumb: on a coin app, pick the plan whose coins cover a normal month, not your busiest one. The apps side by side, right after this, shows which features each app lists, so you can cross off any app missing the one you care about.

My take: if you want a full picture and video studio next to your chats, pay for OurDream AI and plan your coins. If video calls are the draw and you'd rather spend less up front, start with Joi AI, but know that its refunds are rare. • Reported data use. Other reviewers report that CrushOn AI uses chat logs for training and advertising. No official CrushOn AI page confirms it, but for adult chats I'd weigh it anyway.
• Discretion. Secrets AI scored 8.5-9/10 on privacy in two independent reviews and has an anonymous sign-up and crypto payment option.
• Leaving cleanly. Most apps here let you cancel from your profile or account settings, and on several of them you keep access until the time you paid for is used up. Refunds are the exception, not the rule.

My advice: use an email you keep for apps like these, share nothing you'd hate to see leaked, and read the privacy policy before you pay. If a billing name bothers you, pick another app from this list, since there are eleven.
