Terms of use

By Jerry Shlocks · Last reviewed 27 Sep 2026

About these terms

From 27 Sep 2026, these terms cover every visit to myvirtualgirlfriend.org, whoever you are. They explain what you can and cannot expect from the site and list the few rules that go with reading it. Using the site means you agree to them.

If you would rather not agree, the only thing I ask is that you stop using the site.

The site is run by Jerry Shlocks, a sole proprietor based at 414 Luff Ln, Redwood City, CA 94065, USA. Throughout these terms, "the operator", "I" and "me" all refer to that person. Email reaches me at [email protected]. My full details are in the legal notice, and the way I handle personal data is covered by the privacy policy.

These terms are in everyday English by choice. Some lines may read like plain common sense, and that is fine: mostly they just describe how a small review site that tries to be honest goes about things. If any part leaves you unsure, ask me before you rely on it.

I would much rather send you a clear answer than have you guess at a clause, and if the wording was the problem, I will fix it for every reader.

What My Virtual Girlfriend is

On My Virtual Girlfriend you will find facts and my opinions about AI companion apps, covering what they cost, what the free tiers offer, what the content rules allow, how billing works, what the privacy terms say and which catches to watch for. Reading is free. There are no accounts, no comment sections, no forums, no paywall and no checkout.

Nothing is on sale here, whether subscriptions, coins, tokens or anything else, so you cannot buy anything from me through the site.

Each app's facts live in a dated record, and the pages print them from it. Each review is based on my own dated notes from having the app on its free plan or a paid one at some point from 2023 to 2026, and a label on the review says which. Prices, plans and policies are taken from what each company publishes on its own pages and in its terms, every fact with its check date, and anything other review sites report is credited to them. For how facts are gathered, labelled and fixed, see the editorial policy.

Information, not advice

Everything you read here is general information aimed at adults, along with my opinion built on it. Please do not take any of it as guidance on money, the law, medical or psychological matters, or relationships; none of it is shaped around your personal situation. An AI companion app is no replacement for professional help.

If life is heavy right now, please reach out to a qualified professional or to someone you trust. Doing so is nothing to be ashamed of, and an app can sit next to real support without ever taking its place.

Verdicts, rankings and recommendations on the site are opinions, every one of them. I write them honestly from the facts in the record, yet a sensible person could land somewhere else. Whether an app suits you is your call.

When a page puts an app at the top, it means that app is the closest match for that page's subject, going by the facts I have, not that it is the right pick for everybody.

Prices, plans and deals

The apps decide their own prices and plans, and they change both a lot. I show the check date beside every price, and I hide any price more than thirty days old. Even so, an app can raise or cut a price between my checks, charge a different amount depending on your country or device, add tax, or show your account another offer.

What counts is the price at the app's own checkout. Look at it before you pay, and while you are there, read what the plan covers, whether it renews on its own and how you cancel. Annual plans are usually billed as a single payment, even when a page also shows what that works out to per month.

A discount or coupon code only appears together with the date it was spotted. The app alone decides if a code is still valid, which customers qualify and what strings are attached. There is no promise from me that any code works in your case, and when one fails, I cannot hand you the discount myself.

Any worked example on the site, such as a guess at what a month might cost, is an illustration built on prices published on the check date. What you really spend comes down to your own habits, and coin or token apps in particular can end up costing much more than the base plan if you lean heavily on pictures, voice or video.

Free tiers need a separate word. Every app measures its free allowance its own way, may alter it without warning, and sometimes offer new accounts something different from older ones. Whatever free tier I describe reflects what was published or visible on the date shown beside it, and there is no guarantee your account receives the same.

My own habit before paying for any plan is a short check: confirm the price and currency at checkout, find the line that says whether it renews by itself, see what pictures, voice or video cost on top, and note how and where you can cancel. Two minutes spent on that can spare you a good deal of regret.

Affiliate links

Some links on My Virtual Girlfriend are affiliate links, meaning an app may pay me a commission when someone who arrived through one of them signs up or buys. It never costs you anything extra, and a few partners even offer a lower price through those links. You never have to use one: typing an app's web address into your browser works just as well.

My affiliate disclosure sets out how these links work here and the limits on what they can affect.

The apps themselves, and other sites

Signing up for an app or paying for one creates an agreement between you and the company behind it, or your app store, under their terms. I am not a party to it. Anything about your account, charges, renewals, refunds, cancelling, content rules or how your chats are handled is a matter for the app or the store.

My reviews collect whatever is known about cancelling and refunds for each app, but the app's own terms always settle the question.

Pages here link out to app sites, help centres, terms, privacy policies and store listings, all run by other people. I have no control over those sites and take no responsibility for what they publish, whether they are online, how secure they are or what they do with your data. Linking to a site does not mean I back everything on it, and reviewing an app does not mean I vouch for how it handles the people who use it or their information. If a link is broken or lands you somewhere unexpected, please tell me.

For adults only

Some apps covered on My Virtual Girlfriend may allow adult roleplay, which is why the site is only for grown-up readers. Using it means you confirm you count as an adult under the law where you live. My Virtual Girlfriend itself contains nothing explicit and shows no pictures of people from these apps.

Many apps, though, only accept adult users and run age checks of their own. Please respect those checks and do not try to dodge them. The content notice explains what the site describes and what it leaves out.

Using what you read here

You are welcome to read the pages, print them and keep copies for your own use. Short quotes are fine too, say in an article, a review or a forum post, provided My Virtual Girlfriend is named and the quoted page is linked. Facts like the price of a plan are nobody's property, so use them freely; if this is where you found them, a link back would be kind.

What you may not do: copy whole pages or big chunks of the site, publish them somewhere else, present them as your own work, or turn them into a rival site. Bulk scraping is not allowed, nor are automated tools that put heavy strain on the site, nor using its content to train or supply an AI model or a commercial dataset unless I have agreed in writing. Attempts to break into, disrupt or abuse the site or its server are not allowed either.

Unless a page says otherwise, the text, page structure and design are mine and protected by copyright. Names, logos and product names of apps are trademarks of the companies that own them, and I use them only to make clear which product I mean. Screenshots of app screens and pricing pages are there to illustrate factual points about those products.

If you believe material on My Virtual Girlfriend infringes your rights, email [email protected] with the page's address, what the material is and why you think it infringes. I look at every such notice quickly and remove anything that does infringe.

The newsletter

I am planning a weekly email on prices and deals, and some pages already show a sign-up box for it. It has not launched, and the box does not send anything anywhere. When it does start, it will be free, completely optional and easy to leave, with an unsubscribe link in each issue. Before a single address is collected, the privacy policy will describe the newsletter in full.

No warranty

I work hard to keep My Virtual Girlfriend correct and current, and I fix mistakes in public on the corrections page. All the same, to the extent the law allows, the site is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, with no warranty of any sort. I make no promise that each fact is full, accurate and up to date at any given moment, that each app will behave the way a page describes, or that the site will be reachable at every moment without a break.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law permits, I bear no liability for losses or damage that come from using the site or relying on what it says, including anything you buy from third-party apps, the charges you rack up with them, or data you give them. None of this limits liability that the law says cannot be limited, such as liability for gross negligence or deliberate wrongdoing, and none of it touches your consumer rights under your home country's law.

Changes to these terms

I may revise them as My Virtual Girlfriend evolves, say once the newsletter launches, or when the law moves. The version currently in force is the one whose date appears above, and significant changes are also logged on the corrections page. Whatever you do on the site is covered by the version that was in force when you did it.

How companies may use the reviews

App companies may link to the review of their app on My Virtual Girlfriend whenever they like. They may not imply that My Virtual Girlfriend endorses their product, pull a verdict out of context to make it say more than the page does, or copy the site's logo or design into their own ads. If a company thinks a review gets something wrong, it should ask me for a correction instead of quoting around it; corrections here are public and dated.

If anything looks off, whether it is a label, a price, a sentence or a link, please tell me. My Virtual Girlfriend is run by one person, and reader reports are a big part of how it stays accurate. Nothing bad happens if your report proves wrong, and you do not have to be certain before writing; a question is plenty.

Governing law and disputes

the laws of the State of California, USA governs these terms, without taking away any consumer protection rules in your home country that cannot be overridden. Got a complaint about My Virtual Girlfriend? Bring it to me first; most problems can be settled in one reply.

Should a dispute not resolve that way, it goes to the courts that have jurisdiction under that law, except where your own country's law lets you take it to your local courts instead.

Should a court find any part of these terms invalid, everything else remains in effect. If I let a rule slide once, that does not mean I have given it up. English is the language of these terms, and if I ever publish a translation, wherever the two differ, the English text prevails.

Contact

Send questions about these terms to [email protected], or by letter to 414 Luff Ln, Redwood City, CA 94065, USA. The contact page sets out what I can and cannot help with. Thanks for reading this far. Few visitors ever do, and My Virtual Girlfriend works better with readers who understand how it runs and where its promises stop.
