Candy AI alternatives: 12 apps side by side

It's a companion and roleplay app that keeps adult content behind the paid plan, and its free start refills: you keep 20 non-expiring bonus messages and collect another 10 each day through Daily Login. GoLove AI is a good pick if you like ready-made scenarios and group chat. Uncensy has one of the clearest free plans here: 40 messages a day with no credit card required.

Here's the honest bit. Apart from SpicyChat and Nomi AI, none of these is a free way around Candy AI's paywall. The other ten keep adult content for paying members, so there the question is which paywall is fairer, not how to skip one.

SpicyChat and Nomi AI share the category but go further on content, allowing adult chat on every plan.

Among close matches, I weigh what separates them for someone leaving Candy AI. Is the free start published in plain numbers? Does the paid plan bundle images, voice and video, or charge tokens on top? How strict is the refund rule, and is the cancel path written down?

None of this comes from hands-on use. Every one of these apps has its own review with my notes, and the facts behind the order come from pricing pages, terms and help pages, plus published reviewer notes where they add something. That means I can tell you what a plan includes and where the catch sits, but not how a chat feels late at night.

If it's a low paid price with images and video included, Uncensy's Spark and Swipey AI's Premium are the cheapest monthly plans here, both at $7.99. If a long refund window matters, Muah AI and Luvr AI both offer 30 days.

The top seven get a full entry below. The other five are in the tables, with their prices and features side by side.

You give up polish and media for it. Free has ads, possible queues at peak hours, 4K memory and replies up to 180 tokens, and there are no images or voice on free. Get a Taste at $5.95 a month clears the ads and the queue and adds a memory manager.

Pictures only arrive on True Supporter at $19.95, and outside reviews found one character looking different from image to image, a weak spot next to Candy AI's paid pictures.

Voice is text-to-speech replies on Im All In, with no live calls listed. Refunds happen only in exceptional cases once the account is used, and the charge reads NDAI.CHAT.

The free plan is real and permanent: 50 messages a day of up to 400 characters, no ads, 2 images a day, and building your own companion is free. Standard costs $15.99 a month, $39.99 a quarter or $99.99 a year, which is $8.33 monthly, with unlimited messages, voice calls, up to 10 active Nomis and group chats.

What you lose coming from Candy AI is the adult media. Nomi's policy allows adult chat, but images are clothed only on every tier, and one review says they come from a ready-made gallery rather than your prompts. Voice replies are reported to lag 15 to 20 seconds.

Refunds aren't given for dissatisfaction or unused time, and the terms grant a broad licence to use your chats to improve the system.

The free start is small, but it refills. Sign-up brings 30 coins and 20 bonus messages that never run out, and Daily Login tops you up by 10 messages each day. Its terms paint a smaller picture, calling free a limited count (say, 10 to 20 messages overall), so I'd treat the daily top-up as the part you can count on.

Premium at $15 a month is the plan I'd pick: 5,000 messages a month, premium AI models, chat history, adult chat, custom character creation, in-chat images and 400 coins. Paid yearly at $144, it's $12 a month. Deluxe at $35 adds voice messages and video generation, which most people can skip at first.

The catch is memory and images. Other reviewers report a week-long test on Premium where a planted detail was never recalled, with made-up details in its place. In-chat images also came out anime-style for a character built as realistic. And refunds are rare once you've paid.

The free plan is where I'd be careful. The official FAQ says text chat, memory, voice messages and SFW pictures are completely free and unlimited after sign-up, but the chat screen shows a Messages Left banner and the terms cite a usage limit, for example 10 messages. Those don't match, so plan for a short free start and treat anything more as a bonus. Adult content unlocks on PRO.

PRO is $19.99 for one month, with unlimited chat, voice and calls, and monthly Stars. The 12-month PRO plan is $119.88, which is $9.99 a month. That gap is big, and I'd only take the year once the free start has won you over.

You have 24 hours to ask for a refund, and it can be denied once the account shows more than a set amount of use.

Its free plan is the one I'd call honest. The pricing page lists 40 messages a day, 1 companion slot and a one-time welcome gift of 40 diamonds, with no credit card required. A published number that resets is just what I look for in a free Candy AI alternative. Images, voice and video on Free are paid with diamonds, at higher rates than on Blaze.

The cheapest paid door is Spark at $7.99 a month: unlimited chat, 5 companion slots, 50 diamonds a month, and adult content, images, video and voice. Blaze at $14.99 doubles the slots, raises the diamonds to 150 and gives the lowest diamond rates. I'd start on Spark and only move up if you keep running out of diamonds.

The catch is money back. Uncensy keeps its fees unless a law forces a refund, and unused credits may be forfeited when an account ends. Reviewers also note that in the January 2026 version, newcomers had to build their own companion before they could talk to any existing character.

The sign-up is easy on paper: register for free with zero payment details required, and the homepage promises chat with 200+ AI Girls for free. What it doesn't publish is a number. The terms only say certain features are free with limited usage. Reviewers describe the free tier as extremely limited, with premium upsells showing up early in chats. I'd go in expecting a short look, not a free app.

Where Dondi AI stands out is the price over a year. The Yearly plan is $71.88, which is $5.99 a month, with full premium access and 200 tokens a month. Monthly is $14.99 for unlimited chat, images, video and voice.

I'd want a published free limit before I trusted a yearly bill, though, and the refund window is only 24 hours, and only if usage limits weren't exceeded.

The bank line reads Dondi, and you cancel in account settings, with the plan running to the end of the period. Skip it if upsells mid-chat drive you up the wall. For free starts that go further, my free AI chat list is the better read.

The free account does more than most on this page. Chat, photo generation and voice generation all work for free, with a 2,000-token core prompt for your character. It's described as more functional than most free tiers, letting you have some genuine conversation and make photos at a lower resolution.

What's missing is adult content and a published number: the message cap is low, and no exact figure could be found.

VIP at $19.99 a month is the plan most people would need: unlimited chat with no peak limit, unlimited photo generation, adult content, priority responses and voice messages. The annual VIP plan is $69.99, or about $5.83 per month, one of the lowest per-month prices here. UHD VIP at $49.99 adds a stronger model and more memory, and ULTRA VIP at $99.99 adds real-time phone calls, US only. I'd skip both until VIP feels too small.

My favourite fact about Muah AI is the refund rule: refundable within 30 days. Next to the 24-hour windows elsewhere on this page, that's a genuine safety net, and it makes the cheap annual plan less of a gamble. Every paid tier also says you can cancel anytime.

The catch is stability. Other reviewers report chat sessions crashing with no recovery, losing the chat history and any photos made in that session. Characters can also drift toward generic in long roleplay, and the base model drifts more than UHD VIP does. If you build long stories, keep a copy of what matters to you outside the app.

Yearly plans look far cheaper, down to $5.83 a month on Muah AI's annual VIP. My rule still stands: pay for one month first. Most refund windows here are 24 hours or none at all, so a yearly plan you regret is money you won't see again. Muah AI is the exception, with 30 days.

Here's how the cheapest plans with adult content compare, month to month. Uncensy's Spark and Swipey AI's Premium are $7.99. Infatuated AI's 1 Month plan is $9.99, with 100 tokens a month. Darlink AI's Essential is $12.99 for 6,000 messages.

GirlfriendGPT's Premium is $15 for 5,000 messages. GoLove AI, Luvr AI, Muah AI and Cuties AI sit at $19.99.

Two things change that picture. First, tokens. Uncensy spends diamonds on media, Swipey AI bills voice calls per minute in Hearts, and reviewers warn that Infatuated AI's token economy can add cost beyond the subscription. A low sticker price with heavy token use is not a cheap plan.

Second, message caps. Darlink AI's Essential and GirlfriendGPT's Premium count messages, while Uncensy, GoLove AI, Muah AI and Luvr AI list unlimited chat on their first paid plan. If you chat a lot, that matters more than a few dollars.

My take: Uncensy's Spark is the smartest first paid plan here, with unlimited chat plus images, video and voice for $7.99. If refunds worry you, Muah AI's VIP with its 30-day refund window is the safer bet.

GoLove AI is the better pick if you like scenes over one-on-one chat, with ready-made scenarios and group chat, and its 12-month PRO plan comes to $9.99 a month against GirlfriendGPT's $12.

My pick: GirlfriendGPT if you want a daily free top-up and a lower monthly bill. GoLove AI if you want scenarios and plan to pay yearly. Neither is generous with refunds, so let the free start decide.

• Know the bank line. GirlfriendGPT bills as NDAI.CC and Dondi AI as Dondi, SpicyChat shows NDAI.CHAT and Nomi AI shows NOMI.AI. For the others, no statement name is published, so read the checkout page before you pay.
• Know the cancel path. GoLove AI uses Settings and Unsubscribe, Uncensy uses the Subscription tab under My Profile, and Swipey AI uses Account Settings, then Subscription.
• Know the refund rule. Muah AI allows refunds within 30 days and Luvr AI offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. Infatuated AI says all sales are final.
• Keep real details out of chats. Your name, workplace and address don't need to be there.

Swipey AI earns a small nod here: you can sign up with just an email and no credit card, and its pricing page promises that the characters you built and your chat history stay saved once you cancel.
