A quick reality check on the word itself. Every app here is a companion or roleplay app whose own policy allows adult content for adults, Candy AI on paid plans only. None of them is a free AI chatbot with no restrictions: each has terms, and most keep images, video or longer memory behind a paywall.

If price matters more to you than content level, my ranking of free AI chat apps sorts them by what the free plan really gives.

Topic fit comes first. On an uncensored list, an app whose policy allows adult content on every plan beats one that keeps it for paying members only. Ten of the eleven apps here allow it without a paid-only label, and Candy AI keeps it for paid plans, so most of the order comes down to what surrounds that policy.

Next is the free start: how much you can do before a card comes out. A permanent 50 messages a day counts for more than a one-off handful of coins. Then price, meaning the cheapest plan that unlocks what you came for, and whether yearly billing changes the math. Then features: memory, images, video, voice and group chat, as each app lists them.

Last come the catch and the billing: what other review sites say about filters and image quality, the name on your bank statement, the cancel path and the refund rule. The legitimate route is simpler, and it's the whole idea of this list: choose an app whose own policy allows adult content, and use only the settings that app documents itself. I like that deal for text. Other reviewers report that its roleplay is well paced and led by the characters, and they rank the free tier with the most generous they've seen. If words are what you want, you can go a long way without paying.

Paying is where it gets fiddly. For $5.95 a month, Get a Taste drops the ads and queues and adds a memory manager. True Supporter at $19.95 is the first plan with unlimited in-chat images, so that's the plan the adult image side depends on.

Reviews also say the NSFW image toggle sits three settings menus deep and that the same character looks different in every picture. My advice: stay on free text, or Get a Taste at most, unless images are the reason you're here.

For uncensored use, though, know where the line really sits. Chat is the strength, and the praise elsewhere goes to fluid replies and proactive long-term memory. Pictures are a different matter. Reviews say you pick from a pre-made gallery instead of writing a prompt, and NSFW requests are frequently refused. If pictures are the point, Nomi AI is the wrong pick.

The plan I'd buy is Standard. Paid yearly, it's $99.99 (that's $8.33 monthly), and it lifts you to unlimited messages of up to 800 characters, voice calls, 10 active Nomis and 40 image credits daily. Monthly is $15.99. Payments are nonrefundable, even for lack of use, so I'd stay on the free plan until you're sure.

Why rank it anyway? Because of what the paid side delivers. Reviewers describe its images and videos as highly realistic, with a character's look holding steady from one picture to the next, and its voice calls as expressive. The builder covers ethnicity, looks, personality, voice and hobbies, so the companion is yours from the start.

The 1-Month Plan is €13.99, the 3-Month Plan €26.97 and the 12-Month Plan €47.88, or €3.99 a month. All three include unlimited text and 100 tokens a month; an image costs 2 tokens and a short clip 12, and outside sources report private content unlocks at 100-400 tokens a bundle.

The catch: other reviewers say details slip after roughly 10-20 messages, and about 1 in 8 images shows visible errors, with no free retry. Outside the EU and UK, refunds end 24 hours after payment or after 20 tokens. The charge reads EverAI. My Candy AI review walks through the tokens.

The free start is the weak spot. Signing up and browsing cost nothing, and the free plan lists 55 Dreamcoins to start, with chat at 1 Dreamcoin per message, enough for 55 messages. The help centre is stricter, though, and says free Dreamcoins aren't offered by default. I'd treat free as a look around, not a trial.

If you stay, the smart buy is Standard Annual: $119.88 for the year, which comes to $9.99 monthly. I'd skip Deluxe Monthly at $59.99 until you know you'd really use the Deluxe extras.

My catch is coins. Other reviewers report that video is short and coin-hungry and that voice calls drain coins fast. If watching a meter spoils the mood, look elsewhere. What I do like is the 14-day Quality Guarantee, where each request gets looked at on its own, which is kinder than most refund rules on this page.

The free account is a taster. It shows a balance of 10 Neurons, gives 6 image generations for life (not per month) that are kept for 7 days, and lets you start creating a character for free. No free-chat message cap could be found, which sounds generous, but other reviewers report that free chat feels stiff and forgetful while paid chat is warmer and holds context across a session. So my advice is blunt: don't judge Joi AI on the free tier.

The catch sits in billing. Once a subscription is active it's generally not refundable, since you get full Premium access straight away, and there's nothing back for partial periods either. Pictures can also wander off-model, and you pay Neurons for a failed attempt all the same. The statement reads joi.com, which is short but names the site.

The free plan is simple: 20 messages a day, all companions and basic memory, plus one free custom companion. That daily figure comes from four independent reviews that all agree, rather than from an official page, so treat it as reported. New sign-ups get 200 Moments once, enough for about 4 images; after that the free plan adds no Moments and can't buy them. Past that first handful, images are a paid thing.

Premium is where the adult side opens up, with premium AI models, unlimited messaging, image and video generation, and 8,000 Moments each month. Monthly is $19.99, and yearly is $109.99, which is $9.17 a month. Ultimate at $39.99 adds group chats, personas, advanced customisation and 15,000 Moments. I'd only go there if group chats are a must, since Premium doesn't include them.

The catch is the fine print. Renewal is automatic, there are no refunds for partial periods, and all Moments purchases are final. Memory is described as average: it keeps up inside one conversation and for a little while after, but it's not in the league of memory-first apps. Images can drift off-model too, and a failed attempt still spends Moments.

If memory is your top priority, Nomi AI above is the better fit. If discretion comes first, give Secrets AI the closest look. It also makes a sensible step up once free text stops being enough, and my SpicyChat review shows where that free plan ends.

My rule: compare the cheapest plan that unlocks what you want, not the headline price. And treat yearly plans as a second step, because refund rules here are strict almost everywhere.

SpicyChat: $0 for text. Its policy allows adult content and free text chat is unlimited on the Default model. In-chat images start at True Supporter, $19.95 a month.

Nomi AI: $0 to start, with 50 messages a day. Unlimited chat is $15.99 a month, or $8.33 monthly on the yearly bill. I wouldn't pay for the images here, since reviews say they're gallery-based and often refuse NSFW requests.

Candy AI: €13.99 for the 1-Month Plan, or €3.99 a month yearly, and that price is the adult access itself. Images and video spend the 100 monthly tokens.

Joi AI: $13.99 a month for Premium, the plan with the uncensored chat models, plus about 50 images and about 5 videos a month.

OurDream AI: $19.99 a month, or $9.99 a month on the $119.88 annual plan. Video and voice then draw on your 1,000 Dreamcoins, so the real bill depends on how much media you make.

Secrets AI: $19.99 a month, or $9.17 a month on the $109.99 yearly plan, with 8,000 Moments for images and video.

My take: SpicyChat is the best price if text is enough, Joi AI is the cheapest paid entry if you want the chat itself opened up, and OurDream AI yearly is the best value if you'll really use images and video. For a budget outsider, the CrushOn AI review covers its Standard plan, which gives 2,000 message credits for $5.99 a month, though it lists no image generation.

Joi AI is the leaner deal: $13.99 a month for uncensored chat models and a monthly image and video allowance, but subscriptions are generally non-refundable once activated. My view: pick OurDream AI if scenes with pictures and video are the goal, and Joi AI if the conversation is. If you mainly write stories, my AI chat roleplay picks may suit you better than either.

My read: S LABS INC., NDAI.CHAT and EverAI are the most neutral, while NOMI.AI and joi.com name the service outright. If a shared card worries you, that difference is worth a minute before you pick.

What happens to your chats is harder, because privacy policies rarely say it plainly. Before sharing anything personal, I'd want three answers: are chats used to train the AI, can you delete your account and history, and does anything go to advertisers. That last one isn't theoretical.

Outside reviews claim CrushOn AI uses chat logs for training and advertising, though no official CrushOn AI page confirms it. Unconfirmed, but it's exactly the question a policy should answer.
