AI Waifu Chat: 13 Apps for Making Her Yours

Soulkyn is the most complete character hub here, with images, voice and video under one roof, but its only officially confirmed plan is €49.90 a month. Uncensy's Spark plan at $7.99 unlocks unlimited chat, images, video and voice, a cheap full start.

A waifu app, for me, is about the character: can you build her, keep her consistent, and put her in a story? That's what this list sorts for. If what you really want to know is how far each app lets a chat go, my uncensored AI rundown covers content rules in depth.

Character tools come first. An app ranks higher when it has a library of characters to browse, a roleplay focus, a way to make your own character, and group chat so several characters can share a scene. OurDream AI and Soulkyn tick every one of those boxes, which is why they sit high.

Next is the free start. Some apps here give a daily message allowance with no card, some give unlimited chat with ads, and some give a small taster before the paywall. A daily allowance you can rely on beats a one-time gift of coins.

Then price: the cheapest plan that unlocks images and your own characters, because that's what most waifu fans end up paying for. The free plan is the easy way in. Text chat on the Default model has no cap, with ads, a possible queue and replies of up to 180 tokens. Personas, meaning who you are in the scene, go up to 10 on Get a Taste ($5.95 a month), 50 on True Supporter and 100 on Im All In.

Group chat is less certain: a route for creating one exists, but its limits and plan aren't confirmed.

Pictures are the weak spot for a waifu. The image tool offers anime or semi-realistic styles and custom prompts, but only from True Supporter at $19.95. Outside reviews say one character looked different in every picture, which matters if you want her to stay recognisable.

The free plan never expires: 50 messages a day, up to 400 characters each, no ads, and 2 images a day. Standard is $15.99 a month, $39.99 a quarter or $99.99 a year, which is $8.33 monthly. It brings unlimited messages, voice calls, up to 10 active Nomis and up to 10 group chats, so a small cast can share a scene.

The limits matter for a waifu fan. Images are clothed only on every tier, and one review says they come from a ready-made gallery rather than your own prompts, so you can't always get her look exactly right. There's no refund for unused time or dissatisfaction, so give the free plan a proper week first.

Paid plans are identical apart from the term: €13.99 for one month, €26.97 for three, or €47.88 for a year, which works out at €3.99 a month. Text chat has no cap on any of them, while images cost 2 or 4 tokens each depending on the engine and a short video clip about 12. Adult content is on paid plans only.

The free start is only a sample. The Help Centre allows up to 5 messages in total, so you can see the writing style, not build a relationship. Memory is the bigger catch for a character you want to keep: other reviewers report details holding for roughly 10 to 20 messages.

Group chat isn't confirmed either, so a cast of characters sharing one scene isn't something to count on.

Dream Studio USA, Inc. also lists custom characters and group chat, so you can make her yourself and then add a rival, a friend or a whole cast. Paid plans add image and video generation, and adult content is allowed under its policy.

The free side is thin. Sign-up and browsing are free, but the help centre states that Dreamcoins aren't given away by default, even though the free plan lists 55 to start. I'd go in expecting to pay.

Standard Monthly at $19.99 is my first step, with the annual version at $9.99 a month once you're sure. Video is the pricey extra: other reviewers report it is short and coin-hungry, with some clips going off-model. If you mainly want pictures, you can mostly ignore it. The price is where I hesitate. Officially there's one plan to buy, Deluxe, and it costs €49.90 a month. For that you get the 70B model with no chat limit, images with no cap and voice, and you pay for each video in Souls.

Cheaper tiers called Just Chatting (€11.99) and Premium (€24.99) turn up in 2026 third-party reviews, yet Soulkyn's pricing page doesn't show them. Free accounts exist, yet Soulkyn itself says its ability to offer them is limited and doesn't publish the limits.

Reviews elsewhere call the images fun and the voice decent to flat, and say memory keeps one scene together during a session yet loses it over weeks. One also warns that lots of image making eats credits quicker than the sticker price implies. So a waifu here is great in the moment and weaker at remembering last month.

Its free plan is refreshingly clear, and no card is asked for. You get 40 messages daily, a single companion slot, and 40 diamonds once as a welcome gift. Images, voice and video on free are paid with diamonds at higher rates than on Blaze.

One thing to know before you start: adult content is paid only here, so free is for getting to know her, not for spicy scenes.

Spark at $7.99 a month is the plan I'd pick. For that you get unlimited chat and 5 companion slots, plus 50 diamonds monthly, and adult content, pictures, video and voice all switch on. Blaze at $14.99 doubles the slots to 10, gives 150 diamonds and the lowest diamond rates, which only makes sense if you collect characters.

Reviewers rate its pictures highly and say the videos look nearly like real footage. In the January 2026 version, newcomers were steered into making a companion before chatting with existing ones, hardly a hardship for waifu fans. The catch is the fine print: you won't get fees back unless the law requires it, and unused credits may be forfeited when an account ends. The free offer is generous on paper. The App Store text promises unlimited free messages and unlimited image creation, and the free plan runs on a basic model with Google interstitial ads. For a character app, free images are rare, and I like that a lot.

The tone matters, though. Other reviewers report that Dippy AI leans toward slow-burn relationship roleplay, with chats that stay suggestive rather than graphic. Its adult-content policy isn't known yet, so I'd treat it as the romantic option on this list.

Dippy Super is $12.99 monthly or $119.99 yearly, which is $10.00 a month; a weekly plan at $6.99 works out to $30.29 a month, so I'd avoid it. A separate Ads Free plan at $4.99 removes ads. My real worry is leaving: the Terms only describe closing your account by emailing support, and no subscription cancel path is published.

Where it differs from the apps above is content. Its policy is listed as soft, so expect romantic or suggestive chat rather than full adult roleplay. If that's the kind of waifu you want, good. If not, the apps higher up this list suit you better.

The free start is where my patience runs thin. Linky AI is a free app with ads and in-app purchases, and it doesn't publish its free limits. Outside sources put the allowance at about 20-30 messages a day. Other reviewers report that almost every reply is followed by a full-screen ad, and some users say the ads freeze the app. That's a lot of interruptions for a romance.

Then there's memory. Reviews describe characters forgetting details within the same conversation, free-tier memory fading after about 12 exchanges, and a bug that kept coming back where characters addressed users as "Alex". Misgendering bugs come up too, and for me that's the one that stings: a character app should get your name and pronouns right. Filtering is also said to shift between updates, with Premium sometimes filtering more than free.

Billing runs through the stores. Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly, quarterly or yearly, and cancelling happens in the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google also handle any refund, and Linky's Terms say it has no liability for refunds at all. Its plan prices aren't known yet, so look at the store listing before paying.

Perchance and Dippy AI go further with unlimited messages and images, paid for by ads, and SpicyChat gives unlimited free text with ads. Linky AI publishes no prices at all, which I don't love.

Perchance AI Character Chat costs nothing: no account, no credits, and ads cover the bill for unlimited chat and pictures. Reviews say realistic images work better than anime there, so it's a free start rather than an art studio.

Dippy AI is free for messages and images too, with ads. Outside lists say Dippy Super, at $12.99 a month, adds better chat models, in-chat images, unlimited memory and video.

CrushChat's Silver at $10 a month unlocks unlimited messages, images, audio and character creation, and lets you edit any character's persona and first messages.

HammerAI's $9 Starter plan comes with 1,500 credits a month, which buys 150 images, plus group chats and lorebooks.

Uncensy's Spark at $7.99 a month gives unlimited chat, 5 companion slots and 50 diamonds, with images, video and voice.

Dream Companion's Premium is $11.99 a month, or $5.84 a month billed at $69.99 a year, with 6,000 text messages and 100 Dream Coins.

OurDream AI begins at $19.99 monthly, or $9.99 on the annual plan, and Soulkyn's confirmed plan is €49.90.

My take: Uncensy and HammerAI are the smart budget buys if you want pictures, and Perchance is the no-risk start. Soulkyn's confirmed plan is €49.90 a month and packs in more, from unlimited images to voice, but reviews say its memory fades across weeks.

My read: the first two are the easiest to hold to account, and the last three are the ones I'd share the least with. Reviews also note limited transparency about who runs CrushChat, and some App Store reviewers say it feels untrustworthy. That doesn't mean it is, but it's a reason for care.

Beyond the company, three questions deserve an answer before you get personal: is what you type used to train the AI, can you erase your account along with its history, and does any of it reach advertisers? Policies rarely answer all three, which is why my own rule is simple. Give your waifu a nickname for you, not your full name, and keep addresses and work details out of the story.
