Every app on this page is built for companion chat and roleplay, and every one allows adult content under its policy, Candy AI on paid plans only, so none of them is a step down in scope. If story and scenes matter more to you than one companion, my AI chat roleplay picks go deeper.

That's why SpicyChat, Nomi AI and Candy AI lead: the first two on the strength of their free plans and memory, Candy AI for images, video and voice. Joi AI follows closely, covering images and video as well as chat and memory. CrushOn AI sits sixth because it lists no image or video generation, which is a real gap if pictures are part of what you want.

None of this is hands-on. I built the order from official pages, dated free-tier checks and other review sites, and it involves judgment, not only a formula. If free volume is all you care about, my free AI chat rankings sort apps by that alone.

Nomi AI or SpicyChat. Better pictures and video? Joi AI, or DreamGF, where reviewers rate the character builder among the most detailed for shaping looks. Discretion?

Secrets AI, with anonymous sign-up and crypto payment. And if you're wary of auto-renewals, note that JuicyChat bills its annual plans once and never renews them on its own, which is rare on this page. Whatever you pick, start on the free tier first.

What free leaves out is images and voice. That's the trade-off I'd weigh as an alternative: it's strong on text and thin on media until you pay. The first paid step, Get a Taste ($5.95 monthly or $60 yearly), clears out ads and queues and gives you a memory manager.

True Supporter at $19.95 adds unlimited in-chat images, 8K context and semantic memory 2.0. Im All In at $29.95 adds text-to-speech for replies and 32K context.

Reviews call the roleplay well-paced and character-driven, but they also point to a Trustpilot score of 2/5, where users complain that replies repeat themselves. They also say pictures of the same character vary, and that the adult image switch is buried deep in settings.

The catch: fees are non-refundable once the account has been used. The statement reads NDAI.CHAT. Skip SpicyChat if consistent images matter. If one companion matters more than roleplay, my AI girlfriend rankings are the better route.

Memory is its calling card. Other reviewers describe the chat as smooth and very human, backed by long-term memory that brings things up on its own and a Mind Map that builds itself after about 500 messages. For a long relationship with one character, that's what I'd pay for.

Standard is $15.99 a month, $39.99 a quarter or $99.99 a year ($8.33 a month), and brings unlimited messages at 800 characters, voice calls, up to 10 active Nomis, up to 10 active group chats and 40 image credits a day.

The catch for anyone switching for pictures: you pick images from a ready-made gallery and can't write your own prompts, and reviews say they frequently refuse adult content. Reviews also mention a delay of 15-20 seconds on voice calls. All payments are nonrefundable, and the statement reads NOMI.AI.

Skip Nomi AI if images and video are the point. If adult content is your main filter, my NSFW AI chat rankings are built around it.

Two differences matter before you move. Adult content is paid-only, where OurDream AI allows it without that rule. And the free start is even smaller than OurDream AI's 55 Dreamcoins: the Help Centre allows up to 5 messages in total, with no daily refill.

The pricing will feel familiar in shape. The 1-Month Plan is €13.99, less than OurDream AI's $19.99 Standard Monthly, and includes unlimited text, custom companions and 100 tokens a month; the 12-Month Plan works out to €3.99 monthly. Tokens play the part Dreamcoins do: an image costs 2, a short video clip 12, and outside sources put voice at about 3 tokens a minute.

The catch is memory, which other reviewers say holds for roughly 10-20 messages, plus a refund window outside the EU and UK of 24 hours that closes after 20 tokens. OurDream AI's 14-day Quality Guarantee is kinder. The billing name reads EverAI.

The free account is a taster: a balance of 10 Neurons, 6 lifetime image generations kept for 7 days, character creation to start and an advertised free video option. How many free chat messages you get isn't published. Free chat is described as stiff and forgetful, so judge the visuals on free and the chat on Premium.

There is just one paid plan on the list, Premium at $13.99 a month, and it brings better chat models, improved chat memory, one free custom-character creation and about 50 image generations a month. That's simpler than most price lists here, which I like.

The catch: faces and eyes sometimes drift off-model in images, and failed attempts still cost Neurons. Subscriptions are generally non-refundable once active. The statement reads joi.com. Skip Joi AI if you want a phone app, since it's web only.

The free plan gives 20 messages a day, per several independent reviews, with all companions and basic memory. New sign-ups also get 200 free Moments, about 4 images, and one free custom companion.

Premium costs $19.99 monthly, or $109.99 for a year ($9.17 a month), with unlimited messaging, 8,000 Moments a month, image and video generation and premium models. Ultimate at $39.99 adds group chats, personas and 15,000 Moments. I'd start with Premium monthly and see whether the Moments last you.

The catch: Moments purchases are final, failed images still spend Moments, and there are no refunds for partial periods. Reviews rate its memory as average: fine inside one chat and across a few days, not much beyond. Video works, but motion is sometimes jittery.

Skip Secrets AI if you want unlimited free chat. If fewer content limits are your priority, my uncensored AI list ranks apps on that.

Free accounts get 100 message credits each month, topped up with coins you earn from daily tasks, per a free-tier check dated 2026-09-22. It also includes unlimited chat on Free models, AI voice replies and 8K memory, but no group chat. That's a reasonable taster.

The paid plans run on message credits. Standard is $5.99 a month, or $58.88 a year ($4.91 a month), for 2,000 credits, 16K memory models and group chat. Premium is $14.99, or $94.88 a year, for 6,000 credits. Luxe at $39.99 and Elite at $89.99 go much higher. For most people, Standard is the one I'd consider, and only monthly at first.

Here's why I'd go carefully. Other reviewers report a Trustpilot rating around 1.8-2 out of 5, with complaints about double-charging and unresponsive support. They also say your chat logs and personal data feed AI training and ads, a claim no official CrushOn AI page backs up. Plenty of the chat models on its list get called buggy or outdated. The terms say usage fees aren't refunded, and there are no partial refunds.

On the plus side, default voices are called natural and expressive, and on the web you cancel through Profile, My Subscription, Manage. The statement reads CRUSHON SUB.

Third, the extra currency on top: Neurons at Joi AI, Moments at Secrets AI, message credits at CrushOn AI, Souls at Soulkyn, JuicyCoins at JuicyChat, tokens at Nastia AI, DreamGF and Candy AI, and Hearts at Secret Desires AI. Soulkyn and Candy AI price in euros, and two of Soulkyn's prices come from third-party reviews.

Images: Nomi AI gives 2 a day free, and so does Secret Desires AI on its free plan. Joi AI gives 6 lifetime free images. JuicyChat's free plan charges 30 coins a photo. Secrets AI's 200 sign-up Moments cover about 4. CrushOn AI lists none at all.

Voice: CrushOn AI's free plan includes AI voice replies, and Secret Desires AI's free plan comes with talk time of 120 units a day and 300 a month. Nomi AI puts voice calls in Standard at $15.99, DreamGF's membership at $12.99 includes voice calls and messages, and Nastia AI lists voice messages from Basic at $11.99 but no voice calls.

Memory: CrushOn AI's Standard moves you to 16K memory models, JuicyChat's Deluxe to Pro models with up to 64K memory, and SpicyChat's Get a Taste adds a memory manager at $5.95.

The cheapest routes to a full package of chat, images and voice: Secret Desires AI's Pro at $7.99, which bundles unlimited messages, picture and video creation and voice features, and Nastia AI's Basic at $11.99, with pictures, voice messages and group chats. I also like that a JuicyChat yearly plan is a single charge that won't quietly renew.

My take: if visuals were the reason you chose OurDream AI in the first place, Joi AI is the closer swap. If the chat was, Nomi AI. And if your favourite characters are anime-styled, my anime AI chat list may suit you better than either.

• Discretion first: Secrets AI offers anonymous sign-up and crypto payment, and scores 8.5-9/10 for privacy in two independent reviews.
• A warning sign: outside reviews say CrushOn AI puts chat logs and personal data toward AI training and ad targeting. No official CrushOn AI page says so, so treat it as a report, not a fact.
• Statement names: Secrets AI bills as S LABS INC., SpicyChat as NDAI.CHAT and Secret Desires AI as SDAI, none of which spells out the app. Joi AI (joi.com), Nomi AI (NOMI.AI), JuicyChat (juicychat.ai) and CrushOn AI (CRUSHON SUB) name it more plainly. Nastia AI shows NASTIA.AI ST-LAURENT.
• Cancelling: Nastia AI puts cancel under Membership, Manage and a Danger Zone, and Secret Desires AI tells you to keep the final confirmation for your records, which I'd do everywhere.

My advice: before you move, clear out what you no longer need on the old app, use a separate email for the new one, and keep your real name out of your chats. And pay monthly first, because most refund rules here are strict, from Nomi AI's nonrefundable payments to JuicyChat's 24-hour window.
