AI chat with pictures: 13 apps and what each image costs

Kindroid is my pick for realism: a 16-app comparison put its selfies near the top for lifelike looks, and the free plan refills 1 selfie credit every 2 hours. Soulkyn is the one for volume, with unlimited images on its Deluxe plan.

Pictures cost something almost everywhere, in coins, credits or a plan. If what you really want is fewer content limits in the chat itself, my uncensored AI list covers that. The comparison table below has all thirteen.

The fine print matters more here than on most lists. Does a failed image still cost you? Are images counted per month, per day, or as a one-time gift? Do they expire? Those details decide whether a plan feels generous or like a meter running.

I also give some weight to how far you can shape a character's look yourself, because an app that lets you design anyone feels more welcoming than one with a fixed cast.

And the refund rule and the billing name still count, because pictures are exactly what people end up buying extra credits for. If you're curious how I weigh all of this, it's laid out in my review method.

DreamGF's membership removes blur from images, and Moescape AI hands out 50 free Mochi a day for its tools. Talkie AI lists images too but keeps content SFW. If you want characters in an anime style, my anime AI chat list is a better place to begin.

Be clear on what that costs, though. Free accounts get no images at all, not even a sample, and neither does Get a Taste at $5.95. Pictures start with True Supporter at $19.95 a month, which promises unlimited pictures inside chats, plus 8K context and semantic memory 2.0.

One reviewer adds a limit: on True Supporter, images work only with certain supported characters, while Im All In at $29.95 covers every character.

The catch is consistency. A review found that one realistic character looked different in each image, and that switching on adult image mode gave warped, anime-style results. Turning adult pictures on also takes three separate settings, which that reviewer found hard to locate.

Where it wins is the conversation around the pictures: free text on the Default model has no cap, so you can decide whether you like its characters before paying for images. Fees are non-refundable once the account is used, and the bill reads NDAI.CHAT.

The limits are firm, so here they are plainly. Explicit pictures are banned on every tier, and Nomi's own comparison table describes its pictures as clothed photos. Reviewers say images come from a ready-made gallery with no free prompting of your own, so you steer less than on an image-first app.

Video exists too: it animates an existing selfie or art picture into a clip of about 5 seconds, at 6 credits for SD or 10 for HD, and one reviewer found it slow and poor-looking.

Paying means Standard: $15.99 a month, or $99.99 a year ($8.33 a month), with extra selfies and art requests at 1 credit each. Credits can only be bought while a subscription runs, and payments are nonrefundable.

Why include it? The chat and memory around the pictures get strong reviews, so a picture feels like part of an ongoing story. Skip it if adult images are the goal. My Nomi AI review has more.

Everything visual is paid. The pricing page lists 18+ image and video generation among paid benefits only. On the free side, a check dated 2026-09-22 found 3-5 images and 3-5 messages for good, with no video and no daily refill.

The 1-Month Plan at €13.99 includes 100 tokens a month, and tokens are how pictures are metered. Reported costs are 2 tokens per image on the older engine or 4 on the upgraded one, while video runs from about 12 tokens for a 5-second clip to roughly 80 for 55 seconds. The 12-Month Plan works out to €3.99 a month, billed €47.88 at once.

The catch: roughly 1 image in 8 reportedly comes out with visible flaws like wrong hands, and a redo costs again. Some users say the real monthly total lands near $25-60 once extra packs come in, and subscription refunds end once you spend over 20 tokens.

Free, you get 6 image generations for life, not per month, and each one is stored for 7 days, so save the ones you like. Character creation is free to start, a free video-generation option is advertised, and the account shows a balance of 10 Neurons.

The step up is Premium Monthly at $13.99, with about 50 images and about 5 videos a month, plus the better chat models and improved chat memory. For someone who mostly wants pictures, that's the plan I'd take, and I think it's fairly priced next to the rest of this list.

The catch is consistency. Now and then a face or a pair of eyes slides off-model, and Neurons get spent even when an attempt fails, so a bad render costs the same as a good one. Reviewers also rate the free chat as stiff, so the pictures may win you over before the conversation does. Subscriptions are generally non-refundable once activated, and the charge shows as joi.com.

The free plan refills 1 selfie-generation credit every 2 hours, next to unlimited messages on the base model and 2 character slots. I like a steady refill more than a one-time gift, because it rewards patience instead of running dry.

For more pictures, there are two routes. The Kindroid Subscription is $15.99 a month, or $159.99 a year, which is $13.33 a month. Or you buy selfie credits outright: 50 for $6.99 or 100 for $11.49. If pictures are your main reason for being here, I'd buy one small pack before committing to a plan.

The catch: the free refill is slow, and paid pictures come on top of a plan that isn't cheap. A 3-day free trial of the paid Ember model needs a payment method, so set a reminder if you take it. Refunds are case-by-case at Kindroid's sole discretion, with no proration by default, and the billing name is KINDROID.

That plan is €49.9 a month, with unlimited chat on the 70B model and voice included. Video is not unlimited: it's pay-per-use in Souls. Third-party reviews in 2026 mention cheaper Just Chatting and Premium plans at €11.99 and €24.99, but the official page doesn't confirm them, so I'd wait before planning around those prices.

Here's what bothers me: reviewers say making lots of images burns through credits quicker than the headline price hints. That doesn't square neatly with "unlimited images", so read the plan page carefully before you pay. The images themselves were called fun, and video an occasional paid extra.

The free start is limited, and the exact free limits aren't published, so I can't tell you how many pictures you'd get before paying. The Refund Policy page couldn't be read either.

Who should skip it: anyone on a budget, since the one confirmed price is high. If a single steady companion matters more to you than picture volume, my AI girlfriend picks are the better list.

It makes this list on price. The 12 Months Membership is $47.99 for a whole year, level with Candy AI's €47.88 as the cheapest yearly price among the full entries. The 3 Months Membership is $20.99, and a single month is $11.99.

The free start, called Basic, gives limited access with no numbers published. What I don't love: reading a romantic message costs 2 Neurons, so some replies sit behind a paywall even in chat. That's a meter hidden inside the conversation, and I'd rather it were upfront.

On pictures, reviewers say photo quality varies from message to message, and memory can fade over longer stretches. Cancelling only works through the marketplace or website where you bought the subscription, and app store purchases are final.

It sits lower than its quality suggests because of how you pay for pictures. On the free plan, images, voice and video are paid with diamonds, at higher rates than on Blaze, and new accounts get 40 diamonds once, as a welcome gift. The free plan also gives 40 messages a day and 1 companion slot, with no credit card required.

So you can chat daily for free, but pictures eat that gift quickly. Adult content is paid-only, which makes the free account a SFW preview.

The plan I'd pay for depends on how many pictures you want. Spark is $7.99 a month and unlocks adult content, images, video and voice, with 50 diamonds a month and 5 companion slots. Blaze is $14.99 with 150 diamonds a month and the lowest diamond rates.

If pictures are the whole point, Blaze is the smarter buy: three times the diamonds and a cheaper rate on each, for less than twice the price.

The catch is the diamond economy itself. The plans don't state how many diamonds a single image costs, so I can't turn 150 diamonds into a picture count for you, and I won't guess. Fees can't be refunded unless the law requires it, and unused credits may be forfeited on termination. On the plus side, the plan text promises cancel anytime, no lock-in.

One more thing: in the January 2026 version, the app nudged newcomers into building a companion before they could talk to any existing character. That's fine if you want to design your own look, less so if you just want to browse.

The cheapest yearly routes are Candy AI's 12-Month Plan at €47.88, EVA AI Soulmate at $47.99 a year and DreamGF's intro Annual Membership at $71.88. Kindroid is the rare one where you can skip the plan and buy 50 selfie credits for $6.99. My advice: before you pay, work out how many images the plan's allowance actually buys.

Here's how the thirteen line up. SpicyChat, Joi AI, Kindroid, Soulkyn, Nastia AI, DreamGF and Lovescape allow adult content. Candy AI and Uncensy allow it only on paid plans, Uncensy from Spark at $7.99 a month. EVA AI Soulmate and Moescape AI are soft, and Talkie AI is SFW only.

So if adult image generation is the goal, those last three are the wrong door. Nomi AI bans explicit pictures on every tier.

Then count the meter. Joi AI gives about 50 images a month on Premium. Nastia AI's Basic plan at $11.99 has a 600 pictures allowance, and Unlimited at $15.99 raises it to 2,000.

Lovescape's Premium at $19.99 comes with 600 chips a month, and its free account was called little more than a preview, since media costs more chips than a new account is given. DreamGF's membership adds faster image generation and removes blur from images.

My view: for picture volume at a fixed price, Nastia AI's allowance is the clearest deal in the table, even though reviewers call its images stylised rather than photorealistic and say each one takes 30-60 seconds. For quality, Kindroid and Uncensy get the better reviews but charge per picture. Pick the trade-off you can live with.

What is on record is the billing name, and that's the privacy detail you'll meet most often:

• Names the app: Nomi AI bills as NOMI.AI, Joi AI as joi.com and Kindroid as KINDROID.
• A code or company name: SpicyChat bills as NDAI.CHAT and Candy AI as EverAI.
• Names the app and a place: Nastia AI bills as NASTIA.AI ST-LAURENT.
• Handled by the app store: EVA AI Soulmate and Talkie AI can only be cancelled through the marketplace you bought from.
• Not on file yet: Soulkyn, Uncensy, Moescape AI, DreamGF and Lovescape.

My view: of the apps with full entries, only SpicyChat and Candy AI bill under a name that doesn't spell out the app, so if that matters, keep it in mind before a shared card sees the first charge. It's a small thing that feels big at the wrong moment.

For the chats and prompts themselves, a simple habit helps: leave real names out, including your own, and describe made-up characters rather than people you know. The pictures are just as much fun, and nothing personal ends up in a file you don't control.
