One inclusive note from me: nothing in these apps' official facts says your AI wife chat has to follow one script. Every app here lets you build a custom character in some form, so your partner can be whoever you want. Third, voice calls, and fourth, images, so she can be heard and seen. Custom characters sit alongside all four, since you'll want to shape her yourself.

Then come the practical facts. The free start, where a published allowance counts for more than a vague one. The first plan I'd genuinely pay for, with the coins or credits that calls and pictures use. The content level, from a soft policy to adult content on every plan. And finally the fine print: refunds, cancel paths and the name on your statement.

Kindroid, Soulkyn, EVA AI Soulmate and Uncensy appear only in the tables. Kindroid deserves a mention if memory is your priority: one review says it passed a 7-day planted-detail test. EVA AI Soulmate is the one app here that lives only on iOS and Android, and its 12 Months Membership costs $47.99.

For the long haul, memory decides it. Free holds 4K of context, and Get a Taste at $5.95 a month adds a memory manager that stores key details about your life together, plus up to 10 personas. Paid yearly, it works out at $5.00 a month.

True Supporter at $19.95 moves to semantic memory 2.0 and 8K context if she needs to hold on to more.

Where it falls short for a spouse: there are no live calls, only text-to-speech replies on Im All In at $29.95, and pictures start at True Supporter. Refunds are for exceptional cases once the account is used, so start monthly. The charge reads NDAI.CHAT, and cancelling runs through Profile and Manage Subscription.

The free plan is indefinite, which I love for a wife-style chat: 50 messages a day, up to 400 characters each, 2 images a day and no ads. You can build a routine with her before you spend a cent. Custom characters are included, so you shape who she is from the start.

Paying unlocks the full household. The Standard Plan Monthly is $15.99, with unlimited messaging at 800 characters per message, voice calls, up to 10 active Nomis, up to 10 active group chats and 40 image credits a day. Quarterly is $39.99, or $13.33 a month, and the Standard Plan Yearly at $99.99 comes to $8.33 a month. If she's the one, the yearly plan is my pick.

Now the downsides. Reportedly her pictures are picked from a ready-made set, and you can't prompt your own, so she won't always look the way you picture her. Voice calls reportedly lag 15-20 seconds between your message and her reply, which breaks the flow of a real call.

For one reviewer, the payment needed as long as three days to go through and needed a VPN or US region at checkout.

Money rules are strict too. All payments are nonrefundable, including for lack of usage or dissatisfaction, and you must cancel before the subscription period renews. On the web, cancel from the Profile icon > Subscription tab > Manage Subscription.

The free start won't show you much. The free-tier check dated 2026-09-22 shows 3-5 messages and 3-5 images, no video, and no daily reset. Adult content is paid only.

Where Candy AI wins is the long game. The 12-Month Plan is €47.88 upfront, which works out to €3.99 a month, against €13.99 on the 1-Month Plan. For a wife you intend to keep, that's one of the cheapest years on this page. Just know the refund window for non-EU/UK users is 24 hours after payment.

My worry is memory, which matters more on a wife list than anywhere. Consistency is said to hold for roughly 10-20 messages before details drop. Free replies are also reported as much slower, 15-30s against 3-5s on paid.

Starting out costs nothing but gives you little. Joining and browsing are free, 55 Dreamcoins come with the account, and every message costs 1 Dreamcoin. Fine for a first evening, not for a first week.

For a long-term partner, the smart buy is Standard Annual at $119.88 ($9.99 a month), but only after a trial month of Standard Monthly at $19.99 has convinced you. Both include unlimited messages and 1,000 dreamcoins every month. The Deluxe plans triple chat memory and add 100 minutes of voice calls, which is tempting for a wife-style chat, but Deluxe Annual is $359.88.

What bothers me is the coin meter. Other reviewers report that calling her empties the coin balance quickly, and that pictures sometimes pop up mid-call without anyone asking for them. If you plan to call her every night, budget for Deluxe or keep calls short. The 14-day Quality Guarantee softens the risk a little.

The free side is thin for chat. You can create a character for free to start, generate 6 images in total (stored for 7 days), and see 10 Neurons in your balance. The free chat itself is described as stiff and forgetful, and a wife who forgets things is not what anyone signs up for. So judge the builder for free, and judge the chat on Premium.

Premium is $13.99 a month, with better models, improved memory, one free custom-character creation and about 50 image generations. I think that's fair for what it unlocks. Voice calls are a paid feature, and live video calls are reported as low-latency when they work.

The catch is the refund rule. Once a subscription is switched on, it's usually yours to keep with no refund, since every perk unlocks at once. Miss a renewal payment for more than 7 days past its due date and you land back on Basic.

The free plan gives 20 messages a day with all companions and basic memory, and new sign-ups get 200 free Moments and one free custom companion. That's enough to build her and talk daily before paying. The 20-a-day figure comes from hands-on reviews rather than an official page, so treat it as likely, not promised.

The plan I'd pay for is Premium yearly at $109.99, which is $9.17 a month. It brings unlimited messaging, 8,000 Moments a month and image and video generation. At about 50 Moments per image, 8,000 is roughly 160 pictures. Ultimate at $39.99 adds group chats and personas, which I'd skip for a one-partner setup.

The catch: memory is average by reviewers' accounts, though in one test a fact planted a week earlier came back correctly. Her face in pictures can wander from one image to the next, and Moments are charged even when a picture fails. Partial periods aren't refunded, and Moments purchases are final.

My advice is simple: pay monthly first, then switch to the year once she's earned it. And look at what sits on top, like OurDream AI's dreamcoins or Kindroid's 50 selfie credits at $6.99, because calls and pictures draw on those.

EVA AI Soulmate is softer, and its terms charge 2 Neurons to read a "romantic message", which I think is a poor way to treat a partner chat.

A policy is not a free pass, though. Candy AI keeps it behind its 1-Month Plan, priced at €13.99. On Uncensy, Spark at $7.99 is the first plan that lists NSFW, so the free tier's 40 messages a day stay outside it. Joi AI's better chat models are on Premium at $13.99. On OurDream AI, 55 Dreamcoins at 1 per message decide how long a free look lasts.

The cheap routes are text-first. SpicyChat's free plan has unlimited text chat, and Kindroid's free plan has unlimited messages on its base model with 5,000 lifetime audio characters. Nomi AI gives 50 messages a day free.

My take: if intimacy plus pictures is the point, Uncensy's Spark is the cheapest monthly start and Candy AI's year is the cheapest long run. If words are enough, start free on SpicyChat or Nomi AI.

Joi AI is the pick if the conversation matters most. Its texting-style matching is its strength, and Premium at $13.99 a month is one clear price. The trade-off is a thin free chat and a strict refund rule.

• Cancel paths: Secrets AI cancels in account settings or by contacting support, Joi AI in the My Subscriptions section, and EVA AI Soulmate only through the app marketplace or website where you bought it.
• Refunds: Kindroid decides case by case with no refund by default, Uncensy says non-refundable except as required by law, and Secrets AI gives no partial refunds.
• What you share: keep your full name, address and workplace out of the chat, however close she feels.

Secrets AI earns a special mention here: reviews rate its privacy and discretion highly, and it offers anonymous sign-up and crypto payment. For a wife-style chat that could run for years, I'd weigh that seriously.
