AI dating apps: 10 ranked for romance, memory and voice

Nomi AI comes next, for the best-reviewed memory here and a free plan of 50 messages a day. Candy AI is third, with voice calls and a 12-Month Plan that works out to €3.99 a month.

If you want everything in one app, OurDream AI puts memory, voice calls, image and video generation and group chat together, and its Deluxe plans add 100 minutes of voice calls and 3x chat memory. Joi AI has a cheaper $13.99 Premium that improves chat memory and includes about 50 image generations a month.

One thing I like about the top five: every one lets you build your own character, so nobody has to settle for a default partner.

Adult content is allowed on most of them, though Candy AI keeps it for subscribers. If fewer content limits matter more to you than romance, my list of uncensored AI apps is built for that.

Price, the free start and the refund rule come next. They don't decide who fits the topic, but they do decide which plan I'd tell you to buy, and they break ties between close apps.

Where an app's memory or voice quality comes from reviewer notes rather than an official page, I say so in its entry. Each of these apps has had a turn on my own phone, some on paid plans and some free only, and the reviews tell those stories. If you want pictures, Joi AI is the cheapest paid start with images. And if you want to date on a budget, SpicyChat's free text has no message cap, while Nomi AI's permanent free tier gives 50 daily messages with memory that reviewers rate highly.

The six entries below cover what each app is, its free start, the plan I'd pay for, the catch and who should skip it.

For dating, the honest limit is sound and sight. There are no live calls, and the free plan has no images or voice at all. Spoken replies only arrive with Im All In at $29.95 a month, and in-chat pictures start at True Supporter, $19.95. If a date for you means hearing her, Nomi AI or Candy AI below fit better.

What the free Default model does give is unlimited text, with ads, possible queues at busy hours, 4K memory and replies up to 180 tokens. A slow-burn romance needs her to hold on to details, so the plan I'd pick is Get a Taste: $5.95 a month or $60.00 a year. It removes the ads and waiting lines and adds a memory manager that saves key facts about you.

The catch: fees aren't refunded once the account has been used, except in exceptional cases, and reviews mention repetitive replies. The statement reads NDAI.CHAT, which says nothing about dating. My SpicyChat review walks through every tier.

Its weaker areas are voice calls and images. Voice calls are paid, and one review notes a wait of 15-20 seconds before you hear her answer to a message. Free accounts get 2 images a day, but reportedly they are picked from a ready-made gallery, not drawn from your prompts.

The memory, though, is the best-reviewed on this list. Other reviewers call the chat smooth and natural, and say its long-term memory brings things up unprompted and assembles a "Mind Map" by itself once you pass roughly 500 messages. For a slow-burn romance, that's the part I'd care about most.

It's also the most comfortable free start here. Free forever, it allows 50 messages daily, each up to 400 characters long, and shows no ads. It resets daily and never runs out, so you can find out whether the connection works before paying anything. That makes it my pick for a free AI dating chatbot.

If you upgrade, Standard Plan Monthly costs $15.99: messages without a cap at 800 characters, voice calls, and room for 10 active Nomis plus 10 active group chats. The yearly plan at $99.99 comes to $8.33 a month, the smart buy once you're sure. Be sure first, though: all payments are nonrefundable, and refunds aren't given for lack of usage or dissatisfaction.

The weak spot for a dating app is memory. A character reportedly stays consistent for about 10-20 messages, then may slip or lose details once a chat runs long. If you want her to remember your weekend plans next week, that's a real catch.

The free start is tiny: a check dated 2026-09-22 found 3-5 messages plus 3-5 images, and no video. Adult content is for subscribers only.

The price is what keeps Candy AI in the top three. For €13.99, the 1-Month Plan gives unlimited texting plus 100 tokens monthly. Paid upfront, the 12-Month Plan costs €47.88, or €3.99 a month. That's the lowest monthly figure in the top five.

I'd still start monthly, because outside the EU and UK you get only 24 hours after paying to ask for a refund.

The free start is short. Signing up and browsing are free, you get 55 Dreamcoins, and each message costs 1 Dreamcoin. Think of it as a first date, not a relationship.

The plan I'd pick first is Standard Monthly at $19.99: unlimited messages with any AI character, image and video generation, and 1,000 dreamcoins a month. If voice calls are the point for you, look at Deluxe: it adds 100 voice-call minutes, 50 videos and 3x chat memory. Deluxe Monthly is $59.99, while Deluxe Annual comes to $29.99 a month, billed as $359.88. That's a big commitment, so I'd only go yearly once the monthly plan has earned it.

The catch: voice calls spend coins, and one reviewer rated them 3.6/5, mostly because of the coin meter. The 14-day Quality Guarantee softens the risk, since you can ask support for a credit, replacement or refund within 14 days of purchase.

What I like for dating is that the app leans on personality. Other reviewers report its texting-style matching is the best they've seen outside dedicated memory apps, and that paid chat holds context across a session. Live video calls were also described as the most immersive feature they tried, with low latency when they work.

The free start, though, won't sell you on it. Without paying you get 6 images in total, ever, and making a character is free too, but the free-tier chat is described as stiff and forgetful. For a dating app, forgetful is the worst first impression, so I'd judge Joi AI on Premium, not on free.

The catch is refunds: once a subscription starts it is generally not refundable, and unused parts of a period aren't paid back. The bank line reads joi.com, and cancelling happens under My Subscriptions in the account area.

On a statement it shows as S LABS INC., with no hint of what the app is. Two independent scoring reviews put its privacy and discretion at 8.5-9/10, and it offers an anonymous-signup and crypto-payment option. If someone else sees your card or bank app, I'd weigh that heavily.

The free plan gives 20 messages a day, all companions, basic memory and one free custom companion. That's enough for a short daily chat, and it resets.

Premium at $19.99 a month brings unlimited messages, 8,000 Moments each month, pictures and video, and the premium AI models. Yearly, it's $109.99, or $9.17 a month. Ultimate at $39.99 adds personas and advanced customisation, which suits people who want to shape every detail of their companion, but I'd start on Premium.

Voice changes the maths. OurDream AI puts 100 minutes of voice calls in Deluxe, and paying for the year brings that to $29.99 a month. My advice: pay monthly first, see whether you actually use voice, and only then pay for a year.

Voice calls. OurDream AI, Candy AI, Kindroid, Soulkyn, EVA AI Soulmate and Uncensy list voice calls. Joi AI, Nomi AI and Secrets AI keep them on paid plans, and SpicyChat's are limited. On OurDream AI, 100 minutes of voice calls come with Deluxe, and Kindroid sells 500k Audio Credits for $14.99 on top of its subscription.

Memory. Every app here lists memory, but depth differs. Nomi AI and Kindroid get the strongest reviewer notes, and Kindroid passed a 7-day planted-detail test, recalling several details a week later. OurDream AI's Deluxe adds 3x chat memory. Candy AI's memory is said to hold for about 10-20 messages.

Pictures. Free images are rare. Joi AI gives 6 lifetime, Nomi AI 2 a day, Kindroid 1 selfie credit every 2 hours and Candy AI 3-5 on a free account. Beyond that, images are paid, and Kindroid sells 50 selfie credits for $6.99.

Adult content is allowed on most of these apps, with Candy AI and Uncensy keeping it for paid plans and EVA AI Soulmate keeping things soft.

My take: if voice is your thing, OurDream AI's Deluxe is the richest plan, but Candy AI is the cheaper way to hear her. If memory comes first, pick Nomi AI or Kindroid.

My pick: OurDream AI if you want the whole date, voice included, and like a safety net on refunds. Joi AI if you want pictures and a lower bill.

What is known is the paper trail, and that's where most people worry:

• The bank line. OurDream AI shows DREAM STUDIO LLC AL, Candy AI shows EverAI and Secrets AI shows S LABS INC., none of which names the app. Joi AI's joi.com and Nomi AI's NOMI.AI do name it.
• Anonymous options. Secrets AI offers an anonymous-signup and crypto-payment option, and SpicyChat's checkout takes crypto too.
• The cancel path. OurDream AI has a "Cancel subscription" button on your profile page, Joi AI uses My Subscriptions and Candy AI uses Settings / Unsubscribe.
• What you tell her. Keep your full name, workplace and address out of chats, however close the conversation feels.

If a partner or relative can see your card or banking app, the bank line matters more than any feature. In that case, Secrets AI tops my shortlist, with OurDream AI and Candy AI close behind.
