- You want adult content allowed from the free plan on
or

- You want in-chat images alongside the conversation
- Voice messages and video generation are on your wish list
- A discreet name on your bank statement matters to you
Two chat apps, two very different price tags
On paper, CrushOn AI and GirlfriendGPT look like twins: companion chat, roleplay, custom characters, web and Android. Look at what the free account and the first paid plan give you, though, and they split hard. I'd sum it up like this: CrushOn AI sells a lot of text for little money, while GirlfriendGPT sells a fuller media package at a higher price.
Start with the free side. Without paying, CrushOn AI gives you 100 message credits monthly, no cap on its Free models, AI voice replies and 8K memory, and a dated check on 2026-09-22 confirmed the 100 monthly credits plus coins from daily tasks. GirlfriendGPT hands out 20 bonus messages that stay with you, adds 10 for each Daily Login, and credits 30 coins when you sign up.
Its Terms of Use describe the free tier more tightly, as 2 or 3 characters and around 10 to 20 messages in total, so sources differ on the details. Either way, CrushOn AI's free month is the roomier one.
The content policy splits them too. CrushOn AI allows adult content, while GirlfriendGPT keeps it for paid plans, with NSFW chat listed on Premium. I prefer the first approach, because it lets you judge an app on its real behaviour before paying.
Where GirlfriendGPT wins is media. Its paid plans add in-chat images, and Deluxe and Elite bring voice messages and video generation. CrushOn AI has no images and no video at all, and its voice calls are limited. If you want pictures, CrushOn AI simply isn't built for you.
So GirlfriendGPT vs CrushOn AI is really a question of whether you are a reader or a viewer. Readers get more for less on CrushOn AI. Viewers need GirlfriendGPT or something like it.
The grid right below, "The two apps side by side", turns all of this into rows you can scan. If the media side is what draws you in, my GirlfriendGPT review in full covers each plan and its catch.

How much of your story does each app remember?
CrushOn AI rates its memory as limited, but its plans are specific: 8K on free, 16K memory models on Standard and Premium, and 24K memory models on Elite. GirlfriendGPT keeps memory behind payment, with 8K memory context on Deluxe and 16K on Elite. Other reviewers report a week-long memory test on GirlfriendGPT's Premium tier where a planted personal detail was never recalled, and the app made up confident substitutes instead.
That bothers me more than a plain blank would. If continuity matters to you, CrushOn AI's Standard plan gives you 16K memory models for $5.99, the better deal on paper.
Characters and group scenes
Both apps let you create characters, though GirlfriendGPT's custom characters are marked limited and full creation sits on Premium. CrushOn AI adds group chat from Standard upward; the free plan has none. GirlfriendGPT has no group chat on file. For roleplay with several characters at once, I'd pick CrushOn AI without a second thought.
If you like building a whole cast of your own, CrushOn AI is simply the more open of the two, and on the cheaper plan as well.
Pictures, voice and content limits
GirlfriendGPT is the only one of the pair with images, and video arrives on Deluxe and Elite. Other reviewers report two things worth weighing here: GirlfriendGPT's in-chat images came out only in anime style for a character built as realistic, and on CrushOn AI the ready-made voices come across as natural, while cloning a voice of your own disappoints. On content, CrushOn AI allows adult chat on every plan, and GirlfriendGPT keeps it for Premium and up. My read: realism fans should not buy GirlfriendGPT for its chat images alone.
Privacy and the line on your statement
This is where I'd slow down with CrushOn AI. Other reviewers report that its chat logs and personal data are used for AI training and advertising, although no official CrushOn AI page confirms it. I can't confirm it either, but I'd keep personal details out of those chats until the company says otherwise. Billing is plainer.
CrushOn AI shows as CRUSHON SUB, which names the app outright, while GirlfriendGPT shows as NDAI.CC, a far quieter line. The rest of the picture is in my CrushOn AI deep dive.

CrushOn AI: lots of text for a small monthly fee
CrushOn AI is run by TECHIEPIE LTD and works on the web and Android. It is a chat-first app, and I mean that literally: there are no images and no video on any plan. What you pay for is message credits, memory size and group chat.
I think the free plan is decent. 100 message credits a month is not a lot for a heavy chatter, but it renews every month, daily tasks add coins, and adult content is allowed from the start. You'll learn from that whether the writing suits you.
For most people, I'd point to Standard, at $5.99 monthly. It raises you to 2,000 credits, unlocks 16K memory models and adds group chat. On yearly billing it costs $58.88, about $4.91 a month. Premium at $14.99 triples the credits to 6,000, which only makes sense if you chat a lot.
Luxe at $39.99 and Elite at $89.99 are for very heavy users, and I'd skip both unless Premium feels tight.
The downside is the fine print. The terms say usage fees are not refunded, and time you don't use is neither partly refunded nor turned into credit. Renewals are charged automatically each month. On the web, the cancel path is Profile > My Subscription > Manage > Cancel Subscription; app store billing follows the FAQ instead.
My advice is to stay monthly for a while before any yearly plan, since money paid stays paid.
Who fits? Someone who wants long roleplay sessions, group scenes and a low bill, and doesn't need pictures. If you want to see how CrushOn AI stacks up against other names, my head-to-head comparison pages cover plenty of pairings.

GirlfriendGPT: the full media kit, if you pay for it
GirlfriendGPT comes from NextDay AI Incorporated in Quebec, the same company named behind SpicyChat, with US and Cyprus entities alongside. It runs on the web and Android, and its selling point is range: chat, in-chat images, voice messages and video, spread across three paid tiers.
The free start is thin. There are 20 bonus messages with no end date, a Daily Login that tops you up by 10, and 30 coins for joining, while adult content waits behind a paid plan. I'd treat it as a preview, not a place to settle in.
Premium at $15.00 a month is the entry ticket: 5,000 messages, premium models, chat history, custom character creation, in-chat images and 400 coins a month. On a yearly plan it is $144.00, or $12.00 a month. Deluxe at $35.00 adds voice messages, video generation and 8K memory context. Elite, at $50.00, removes the message cap and adds 16K memory.
For me, Premium is the only tier worth a first payment, until you know the extras are worth more.
What I don't like is the refund rule. Paid subscriptions are not refunded, apart from certain limited cases. If you pay through CCBill, you cancel on the CCBill website rather than in your account, which is one more step to remember. Direct billing cancels on the manage subscription page.
My advice: note down which route you paid through on day one, so the right place to cancel is never a mystery later.
Curious where facts like these come from? The page on where these facts come from lays out the sources behind every app page. My pick for GirlfriendGPT: Premium monthly, and only once the free messages have told you enough.

Each app's prices appear in the currency it bills in, with no conversion. Price sorting only compares apps that share a currency.
Both bill in USD. GirlfriendGPT's yearly plans save 20% to 34%; CrushOn AI Premium drops from $14.99 to $7.91 a month on yearly billing.
The monthly bill, plan by plan
Put the entry plans next to each other and the gap is wide. CrushOn AI Standard costs $5.99 a month, GirlfriendGPT Premium $15.00. Billed yearly, it's $4.91 a month against $12.00. For one subscription, that is a big difference, and I think most text-first readers will feel it.
Per message, though, the entry plans are almost level: $5.99 for 2,000 message credits against $15.00 for 5,000 messages, if one credit buys one message, which the record does not spell out. So the real question is what else you get. GirlfriendGPT's extra $9.01 buys in-chat images, 400 coins a month and custom character creation. CrushOn AI's lower bill still includes group chat and 16K memory models.
The top of the range flips the story. CrushOn AI Elite costs $89.99 for 55,000 message credits, while GirlfriendGPT Elite gives unlimited messages for $50.00. At the middle, CrushOn AI Luxe is $39.99 for 20,000 credits and GirlfriendGPT Deluxe is $35.00 for 20,000 messages. Luxe also adds adjustable reply length, which no GirlfriendGPT plan lists.
My view: if you chat all day, GirlfriendGPT is the better buy at the top, and CrushOn AI stops being the budget option.
For everyone else, CrushOn AI Standard is the smartest spend on this page. It is cheap enough to try for a month without regret, which matters when neither app refunds in normal cases. If you outgrow it, moving up to Premium at $14.99 still costs a hair less than GirlfriendGPT's cheapest paid plan.
If you think in coins and tokens rather than message counts, the math behaves differently, and my Candy AI vs OurDream AI cost comparison shows how.
A quick word on the companies, because it matters when you hand over a card. GirlfriendGPT belongs to NextDay AI Incorporated, and Quebec law, in Canada, governs its terms. Its Terms of Use also spell out a right to cancel recurring subscriptions, which I like to see in writing.
CrushOn AI is run by TECHIEPIE LTD, and its terms state that fees are charged automatically each month to your chosen payment method.
Neither is a mystery outfit, and both publish their cancel steps. The difference I care about is the money trail. GirlfriendGPT can bill through CCBill, so look at your receipt to see which route you used before trying to cancel. CrushOn AI separates web billing from app store billing in a similar way.
If you paid through the iOS App Store, follow the FAQ steps rather than the web path under Profile.
My rule for both apps: pay monthly first, put a note in your calendar some days ahead of the renewal date, and only go yearly once a full month has left you wanting more, not wishing you were somewhere else.
If a friend asked me which to pick
My honest answer to a friend would lean CrushOn AI. It costs less, its content policy allows adult chat on the free plan, and group chat makes roleplay livelier. I'd only send them to GirlfriendGPT if they told me pictures were the whole point. That $9.01 gap between entry plans is hard to ignore on a budget.
A few questions settle it quickly:
- Do you mostly read and write? CrushOn AI, starting on Standard at $5.99.
- Do you want images inside the chat? GirlfriendGPT Premium, since CrushOn AI has none.
- Is a quiet bank statement a must? GirlfriendGPT's NDAI.CC is more discreet than CRUSHON SUB.
- Do you chat all day, every day? GirlfriendGPT Elite, with unlimited messages for $50.00.
The one thing I'd warn a friend about is refunds. Neither app gives money back in normal cases, so the free start is your only real trial. Use it fully before paying anyone. On CrushOn AI that means spending your 100 monthly credits on the kind of roleplay you actually want. On GirlfriendGPT it means collecting the Daily Login messages for a few days before you decide.
If memory tops your list, I'd look past both of them. Nomi AI has a free tier that never ends and allows 50 messages daily, and my look at Candy AI next to Nomi AI explains where its strengths lie.
Common questions
Is CrushOn AI free?
Partly. You get 100 message credits each month, the Free models without limits, AI voice replies and 8K memory, plus coins for daily tasks. Group chat is not part of it. I think it is a fair free plan for judging the writing, though heavy chatters will use up 100 credits quickly.
How many free messages does GirlfriendGPT give?
On paper you get 20 bonus messages that never run out, 10 extra for every Daily Login, and 30 coins once your account is made. The Terms of Use put it differently, at 2 or 3 characters and about 10 to 20 messages in total, so sources differ. Either way, it is a short preview rather than a plan to stay on.
Does CrushOn AI have image generation?
No. CrushOn AI lists no images and no video on any plan, and voice calls are limited. Its strengths are text chat, larger memory models and group chat. If pictures matter to you, GirlfriendGPT has in-chat images from Premium at $15.00 a month.
Which is cheaper, CrushOn AI or GirlfriendGPT?
At the entry level, CrushOn AI: Standard is $5.99 a month against $15.00 for GirlfriendGPT Premium. At the top it flips, because GirlfriendGPT Elite gives unlimited messages for $50.00 while CrushOn AI Elite costs $89.99 for 55,000 message credits. Pick by how much you chat.
Can I get a refund from either app?
In normal cases, no. CrushOn AI's terms rule out refunds of usage fees, and leftover time earns neither a partial refund nor a credit. GirlfriendGPT does not refund paid subscriptions, apart from certain limited cases. Get everything out of the free start before any money changes hands.
What will I see on my bank statement?
CrushOn AI appears as CRUSHON SUB and GirlfriendGPT as NDAI.CC. The first names the app, the second does not. If discretion matters to you, that is a clear point for GirlfriendGPT, and it may be enough to tip a close call.
