Is PolyBuzz deleted, or just hard to find?

Is PolyBuzz deleted, or is it still running?

It is still running. Nothing on file points to PolyBuzz being deleted, shut down or pulled. The official site at polybuzz.ai is live, and the app shows up on both big stores with fresh dates. So if you typed "did PolyBuzz get deleted" into a search bar, you can breathe out.

Here is what the records show, with the dates attached:

  • The website is the official home, with a free plan and paid memberships priced on 23 September 2026
  • The Apple App Store listing showed today's plan prices on 23 September 2026
  • Google Play last updated its listing on Sep 21, 2026: 50M+ downloads, rated 4.27 across 1,176,583 ratings
  • You can use it on web, iOS and Android, with 28 interface languages

My take: an app that just refreshed its Play Store page and still sells yearly plans is not an app on its way out. That does not mean nothing ever changes, and I would never promise how any company will look next year. But "deleted" is the wrong word for PolyBuzz right now.

Then why do people keep asking whether it vanished? In my view, usually because something personal went missing: the app on your phone, a chat you cared about, or the perks of a plan that quietly ended. Those are real problems, and the rest of this page takes them one at a time.

One more reason people ask is a change in content level. PolyBuzz sits at a soft, suggestive level, and when a scene stops going where someone expected, the app can feel "gone" even though it is not. The same frustration shows up on other character apps, and for that side of it I wrote up whether Character AI will ever allow NSFW separately.

The apps side by side table on this page shows how PolyBuzz compares with two companion apps if you are weighing a switch.

Why might PolyBuzz look deleted on your phone?

The most likely answer is a naming problem, not a deletion. PolyBuzz has gone by several names in store listings and search results, and the company behind the store listing is not the one named in its legal documents. That is plenty to confuse a quick search.

These are the names and details on file that are worth knowing:

  • Store titles include "PolyBuzz: Chat with Characters", "PolyBuzz: Chat with AI Friends" and "Poly AI - Create AI Chat Bot"
  • The seller on both stores is CLOUD WHALE INTERACTIVE TECHNOLOGY LLC, while the terms name a Hong Kong company, Singularity Mutual Entertainment Culture Media Limited
  • On Google Play, the package id is ai.socialapps.speakmaster
  • On the App Store, the app id is 6449190344

My take: I wish PolyBuzz made just this one thing simpler. When the seller name, the legal company and the app title all differ, a worried user can easily think the real app vanished and a copycat took its place. If you are unsure, search by the Google Play package or App Store id instead of the name.

The records do not say PolyBuzz is missing from any store today. They also do not cover every country, so if the app will not show up where you live, I can't rule out a regional gap. What I can say is that the listings on file were live and recently updated.

Is the PolyBuzz website still there if the app is not?

Yes. The web version at polybuzz.ai is on file as an official platform in its own right, next to the iOS and Android apps. The free plan there covers text chat on the Standard model with ads, plus a starter of two free voice plays and a single image generation.

That makes the website a sensible fallback if a phone app plays up. The web also sells yearly plans directly: $99 for Standard, $199 for Premium and $299 for Ultimate on 23 September 2026. I'd still start free and only look at those once you know PolyBuzz is staying in your routine.

How to find deleted chats on PolyBuzz

I wish I had a better answer here. The records for PolyBuzz do not describe any way to restore a chat once it is gone. There is no documented recycle bin, no chat export and no recovery page in the official material on file. So I won't invent one.

What the records do show is how deletion works at the account level. An account is removed through Settings > Delete Account, and the privacy policy warns that copies can linger in backups until those are next refreshed. Those backups are not something a user can browse, so I would not treat them as a rescue route.

Before you assume a chat is lost, these are the calm, general things worth ruling out:

  • You are signed in to the same account you used when the chat happened, not a guest session
  • You are opening the same character you talked to, not a copy with a similar name
  • The app came from the official store listing, not a look-alike with the same icon
  • You are not in a guest session, since the terms mention guest use as well as registered accounts

If none of that brings it back, I'd contact PolyBuzz through its official site and ask directly. Keep the message short: your account, the character, and roughly when the chat was last there. Honest expectation: a deleted chat on an app without a documented restore option is probably gone for good.

My take on the bigger lesson: if a long story matters to you, copy the parts you love into your own notes now and then. Nothing on file says PolyBuzz will keep a backup for you.

There is also a memory angle. Other reviewers report that PolyBuzz forgets details in long scenes, so a story can drift even when the chat itself is safe. If losing thread is the real pain, look at apps that put memory front and centre. I keep a list of apps like PolyBuzz with their memory and content levels for exactly that.

OurDream AI is one of those, with memory listed as a feature and roleplay at its core. Its quick facts sit right below.

Did PolyBuzz get deleted from your account, or did your plan end?

This is the version of "deleted" that costs money, so it deserves its own answer. A PolyBuzz membership keeps renewing on its own unless you cancel by the final day of the subscription period. After a cancel, your benefits last through the current billing cycle, and then you're back on the free plan.

That drop can feel like losing the app. Premium is the tier that lists stronger memory chat models, unlimited voice listening, no ads and priority chat. Ultimate adds more models, including one called Permanent Memory. When those end, you are back on the Standard model with ads, two free voice plays and a much shorter feature list. Your characters may feel different overnight, and nothing was deleted at all.

My take: before you conclude something vanished, open your Apple ID or Google Play subscriptions and look at the status. If the plan lapsed, the cause is right there, and you can decide calmly whether you want it back.

And if you do want it back, go in with eyes open about the rules. Completed purchases are not refunded without due reason, and a payment is not refunded even if you cancel later. The statement name for PolyBuzz charges is not on file, so I can't tell you how it appears on a bank statement.

Mobile plans are billed through Apple or Google, and the payment methods on file are card, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

On price, the weekly Standard plan is $4.99, which works out to $21.62 a month. The monthly Standard plan is $9.90. For anyone coming back just to test the waters, I'd pick the monthly plan over the weekly one every time. Weekly billing looks cheap and ends up the priciest way to pay.

Coins are the other thing that can seem to disappear. They pay for regenerating replies, longer voice chat, images and special chat moments, while ordinary text messages cost nothing. The records do not say whether coins roll over, so I would spend them rather than bank them.

If you are coming back to a paid plan, glance at my roundup of live deals first, though it holds no PolyBuzz code right now.

What if you want PolyBuzz deleted on purpose?

Some people searching this are asking the opposite question: how do I make it gone? That part is well documented. An account can be deleted in Settings > Delete Account, and under the privacy policy, personal information is held only as long as its stated purposes need, unless a law asks for longer.

The one thing I'd do first is cancel any paid plan. Deleting the account and ending billing are two separate steps. On iOS, the cancel path runs through the Settings app, your Apple ID and Subscriptions. On Android, it runs through the Google Play Store app and its Subscriptions menu.

Do that, then delete. Otherwise you risk paying for a membership attached to an account that no longer exists.

Also worth knowing: the policy admits some copies can stay in backups until the next backup update. That is normal for most services, but I like that PolyBuzz says it plainly. What the policy does not give is a number of days, so I can't tell you when the last copy is gone. If timing matters, ask PolyBuzz before you delete.

Is PolyBuzz going away any time soon?

Not according to anything on file for PolyBuzz. There is no shutdown notice, the stores show recent updates, and the plans were being sold on 23 September 2026. That is as much as anyone outside the company can honestly say.

What the records also show is that PolyBuzz has no official status page. Only third-party outage trackers exist, and those are not official sources. So when the app stops loading for an evening, there is no company page that confirms it. That silence is where a lot of "is it deleted" panic starts, in my opinion.

My advice if you are nervous about the future: hold off on any yearly plan until you feel certain. The web yearly prices are cheaper per month than paying monthly, but they tie you in for twelve months with no refund for a completed purchase. A monthly plan at $9.90 keeps your exit door open.

If PolyBuzz is still part of your evenings after a few months, the yearly price becomes a fair bet, not a leap of faith.

For quick answers on cancelling, refunds and other app questions, my help section for companion app questions collects them in one place.

Where do the PolyBuzz "deleted" rumours come from?

The records do not name a single event behind the rumours, so I won't pretend they do. What they do show are a few things that could easily make people think the app disappeared.

First, the name has moved around. Help-centre pages are also served under a "/speakmaster/" path and a "Poly Ai" path on the app domain, and the Google Play package still carries the speakmaster name. That points to a past rename, and old names tend to linger in search results long after an app moves on.

Second, the app is sold by a different company name than the one in its terms. Third, there is no official status page. Put those together, and one bad evening of loading errors can turn into a "PolyBuzz got deleted" thread by morning.

My take: I read rumours like these as a sign of how much people care about their chats, not as evidence. The facts on file point the other way.

Is PolyBuzz still worth using in 2026?

If you want free text chat and a giant library of characters, yes, with a couple of catches. The free plan sells chat as free, unlimited and private, and no daily cap is published, and the site describes over 20 million characters. Character creation is free, and you can import characters from Character.AI, Pygmalion and other services.

The catches are real, though. The free version runs with ads, and other reviewers report it shows too many pop-up ads. The content level stays soft and suggestive rather than fully open, so it is not the pick for adults who want more.

And whether chat text trains its AI is unclear in the privacy policy, which says input text is collected and names the Chat-GPT platform among the third parties some data can go to. I'd keep real names out of your stories for that reason alone.

Here is what I'd tell a friend who asked: PolyBuzz is not deleted, it is still free to start, and it is fine for casual character chat. Keep copies of stories you love, skip the weekly plan, and don't pay for twelve months in advance.

If you wonder how I put these answers together, my method page for these guides explains where the facts come from.

Common questions

Did PolyBuzz get deleted?

No. PolyBuzz is listed as active, the official site at polybuzz.ai is live, and the app appears on both the App Store and Google Play. Its Google Play page got an update on Sep 21, 2026, and plan prices were checked as current on 23 September 2026. Nothing on file points to a shutdown.

Can I recover a deleted chat on PolyBuzz?

The official material on file does not describe any chat restore or export feature. First make sure you are signed in to the same account and looking at the same character, then contact PolyBuzz through its official site. If the chat was deleted, it is probably gone, so keep your own copy of stories you care about.

Why can't I find PolyBuzz in my app store?

It has several store titles, including "PolyBuzz: Chat with Characters" and "PolyBuzz: Chat with AI Friends", and the seller is CLOUD WHALE INTERACTIVE TECHNOLOGY LLC. On Google Play the package id is ai.socialapps.speakmaster, and the App Store id is 6449190344. The web version at polybuzz.ai also works.

My PolyBuzz perks disappeared. Was my account deleted?

More likely your plan ended. Memberships renew automatically unless cancelled, and after a cancellation the benefits run to the end of the billing cycle, then the account returns to the free plan with ads and the Standard model. Check your Apple ID or Google Play subscriptions to see the status.

Does PolyBuzz keep my data after I delete my account?

PolyBuzz's privacy policy promises to hold personal information no longer than its stated purposes require, unless the law says otherwise. Accounts are deleted in Settings > Delete Account, and backup copies can remain until the backup system gets its next update. Cancel any subscription before deleting.

Is PolyBuzz shutting down in 2026?

No shutdown notice is on file. The stores show recent updates and the plans were on sale in late September 2026. PolyBuzz has no official status page, so short outages can look worse than they are. If you are worried, pick the monthly plan at $9.90 instead of a yearly one.
