GirlfriendGPT vs Candy AI: which plan gives more?

The free plans come first. Candy AI's free start is tiny: the research value is 5 messages overall, never topped up, and when a free account was checked on 2026-09-22 it allowed 3-5 messages plus 3-5 images, and no video. GirlfriendGPT is more patient.

On its free plan you keep 20 bonus messages for good, pick up another 10 each day through Daily Login and receive 30 coins when you sign up. I prefer GirlfriendGPT's approach here, because a daily top-up lets you come back tomorrow instead of hitting a wall. It turns the free plan into a slow trial rather than a single glance.

The paid side flips it. A single month of Candy AI is €13.99, and the 12-Month Plan comes to €3.99 a month thanks to a 70% off sale verified on 2026-09-23. GirlfriendGPT's Premium costs $15.00 a month for 5,000 messages, and the plans rise through Deluxe at $35.00 to Elite at $50.00, where messages finally stop being counted.

Who runs them matters to some people. Candy AI is from EverAI Limited in Malta. GirlfriendGPT is from NextDay AI Incorporated in Quebec, Canada, the same company named behind SpicyChat. It runs on web and Android, while Candy AI lists the web only.

If you chat mostly on an Android phone, that is a small but real point for GirlfriendGPT. On an iPhone, both come down to the browser, so the platform question will not separate them for you.

Candy AI lists memory without a context size. My view: neither is a memory-first app. Remind the character of your key details every so often instead of assuming they stick.

I like that both let you shape the character yourself rather than handing you one default type. For anyone whose idea of a companion does not match the usual template, that freedom matters more to me than any single feature.

GirlfriendGPT puts in-chat images on Premium, voice messages and video on Deluxe, and more video models on Elite. Adult content is paid-only on both, so neither free tier shows that level. For a deeper look at the media side, my Candy AI review covers it.

GirlfriendGPT offers no refunds for paid subscriptions, except in certain limited cases. Neither is generous, but Candy AI at least has a clear window.

I will be blunt about the free start. Five messages, full stop, with nothing added the next day, is enough to see the interface and not much else. Adult content is paid-only, so the free messages will not show you the level most people come for.

I do not hold that against it too much, but I would not call it a free tier you can actually use. Think of it as a demo: open it, look at the character builder and the chat screen, and decide from there whether the paid plan is worth a month.

The paid ladder is simple: three lengths of the same plan. The 1-Month Plan is €13.99, the 3-Month Plan is €26.97 upfront, which is €8.99 a month, and the 12-Month Plan is €47.88 upfront, which is €3.99 a month. That last price comes from a 70% off sale verified on 2026-09-23, and it is the one I would pick once you have decided Candy AI is your app. It is far cheaper per month than any GirlfriendGPT plan.

The catch is the refund clock. If you live outside the EU and UK, a refund request has to go in within a day of paying, and nothing is returned after that. Cancelling is straightforward through Settings / Unsubscribe in your account, and renewal is automatic at the price shown at checkout. The statement shows EverAI, which I think is discreet enough for a shared card.

Its free plan is the friendliest part. It starts you with 20 bonus messages that never lapse and 30 coins, Daily Login adds 10 messages each day, and the terms add that free users can make 2 or 3 characters. That is not a lot, but a daily refill beats a one-off handful.

It also means you can judge the chat tone across several evenings before a card comes out, which is the kind of free start I wish were standard.

The paid tiers climb quickly. Premium is $15.00 a month, or $144 a year: 5,000 messages, premium models and chat history, plus building your own characters and getting images inside the chat. Deluxe is $35.00 a month for 20,000 messages, unfiltered chat access, voice messages, video generation and 8K memory context.

At $50.00 a month, Elite removes the message cap and raises memory to 16K. Other reviewers report Elite's live voice calls as real-time and better than a rival's text-to-speech, which is the best argument I see for that top tier. I would start on Premium monthly and move up only if 5,000 messages feel tight.

The weak spot is the exit. GirlfriendGPT offers no refunds for paid subscriptions except in certain limited cases. You cancel on the manage subscription page, or through the CCBill website if CCBill billed you. The statement shows NDAI.CC.

Once you pay, the picture reverses. On Candy AI's 12-Month Plan you pay €47.88 at the start, which is €3.99 a month, and every Candy AI plan includes unlimited text messages. GirlfriendGPT's cheapest yearly route is Premium at $144, or $12.00 a month, with a cap of 5,000 messages a month. Even allowing for the currency difference, Candy AI is far cheaper per month on a yearly plan.

Month to month, it is closer: Candy AI's 1-Month Plan is €13.99, and GirlfriendGPT Premium is $15.00. The difference there is less the price than what it buys. Candy AI includes video, while GirlfriendGPT puts video on Deluxe at $35.00 a month, or $24.50 a month on the $294 yearly plan.

Heavy use is where GirlfriendGPT gets expensive. Elite costs $50.00 a month, or $396 a year ($33.00 a month), and only at that tier does GirlfriendGPT stop counting messages. Candy AI sells one plan in three lengths, so its ceiling is the €13.99 monthly price.

That simplicity is part of why I rate its value higher: there is no tier above it to be tempted by, and no message count to watch.

My rule of thumb for GirlfriendGPT is to count your own messages for a month on Premium before upgrading. If you stay under 5,000, Deluxe buys you media rather than room.

Where I hesitate is the ladder. Premium gives 5,000 messages a month, which sounds like plenty until you remember that unlimited messages only arrive at Elite for $50.00 a month. Voice messages and video wait on Deluxe. If you want the full media experience, you will pay more here than on Candy AI.

On the other hand, GirlfriendGPT gives you a real Android app and bigger memory contexts on its upper tiers, so the extra money does buy something.

My advice: use the free messages first, then take Premium monthly at $15.00 for one month before thinking about a yearly plan.

The rest sorts itself out like this:

• You want images, video and voice without climbing tiers: Candy AI.
• You chat on an Android phone and want an app there: GirlfriendGPT.
• You want a longer memory context and will pay for it: GirlfriendGPT Deluxe or Elite.
• You want the clearer refund rule: Candy AI, with its 24-hour window outside the EU and UK.
• You want group chat: neither, so look at OurDream AI instead.

Both keep adult content behind payment, so do not judge either one on that point by the free tier alone. Both also renew automatically, which makes the cancel path worth knowing on day one: Settings / Unsubscribe on Candy AI, the manage subscription page on GirlfriendGPT. Note the renewal date as soon as you start paying, especially on Candy AI, where the refund window closes after 24 hours.
